She stiffened, instantly flustered. She already realized why she had turned out this way. She did have adolescent worries, specifically the fact she couldn't express her feelings properly to Rei Ao. She yearned to be as mature as her mother. That matched perfectly with what Rei Ao had described. Now, she really had turned into a "mature mother," albeit by literally swapping bodies with her. Still, she was too embarrassed to tell Rei Ao about it.

Under Rei Ao's gaze, Yui visibly panicked. Just then, Yui's mother called from the kitchen:

If Yui did the same, the fallout would be unimaginable. She absolutely couldn't let that happen.

"Okay."
Eriri trusted her mom completely, so she stepped inside without hesitation. She failed to see Kaori behind her, whose face looked deathly pale, lips curling into a sinister smile. Lifting her hand, Kaori gently closed the door.

Eriri arrived home to find the house in total darkness.
Right upon entering the living room, her mother suddenly pulled out ropes and forcibly pressed her into a chair at the dining table, tying her tightly.

Eriri was dumbfounded, looking at her mother, who was binding her securely. She tried to struggle free, but it was useless. She had no clue why her mother would tie her up.

Suddenly, Mrs. Sawamura let out a creepy, sinister laugh that sent chills down Eriri's spine.
She picked up a candle, turned around, and faced Eriri. Only then did Eriri see that her mother's face had gone deathly pale and bloodless, her eyes twisted into a hideous, frightening glarelike a monster straight out of a horror movie.
"M-Mom?"
A frightened Eriri called out uneasily.
"Areare you just trying to scare me?"
"Heh heh heh~"
But Mrs. Sawamura merely let out a high-pitched cackle, leaned in, and bit at Eriri's neck. Then she licked Eriri's cheek, eerily saying:
"Eriri, my dear, you look so delicious. Mom really, really wants to eat you!"
"Mom, please, don't scare me I'm begging youdon't scare me"
Sensing something seriously off, Eriri's face contorted in panic, her voice trembling and on the verge of tears.
"Such a good daughter You'll be sure to serve your mother well, right? Heh heh heh"
Mrs. Sawamura paid no mind to her pleas. She simply turned away and started boiling water. Only then did Eriri realize the house's electricity was, in fact, workingmeaning her mother's claim about a broken circuit breaker was a lie!
Even scarier was that her mother kept muttering,
"Cooking you ought to taste better than eating you raw. I'll start with the most delicious partyour little tummy, slurp slurp~"
With her back turned, Mrs. Sawamura kept whispering those horrifying words that made Eriri's skin crawl, all the while slurping her saliva. Eriri was utterly terrified. This clearly wasn't just a prank!
Her legs gave out beneath her.

In her fear, Eriri remembered the option of making a trade. She hesitated at first; after all, if she made a trade, she had nothing to offer except herself, which she was scared of. But when her mother turned around and flashed that eerie, ravenous look, Eriri's soul nearly fled her body. She couldn't hesitate anymoreshe hastily sent a trade request to Rei Ao.
Not long after, the water came to a boil. Mrs. Sawamura picked up a nearby kitchen knife and approached Eriri.
"Heh heh, don't worry. I won't kill you outright. After all, fresh, living flesh tastes best."
She lifted up Eriri's shirt, revealing in the dim glow her smooth little belly. The blade's cold gleam drew closer to Eriri's stomach.
"Mom! Stop! I'm Eriri!"
Hearing that her mother planned to butcher her alive, with the knife nearing her belly, Eriri burst into sobs. She wanted to make her mother snap out of ityet her crying and struggling was useless. Far from stopping, her mother didn't even slow down.
Right as the blade was about to pierce her skin
A dazzling light exploded in the room!
"Yaaahhhh!!!"
Under the blinding glare, Mrs. Sawamura let out a piercing scream.
Clang!
The knife clattered to the floor. Mrs. Sawamura raised both arms to shield her eyes, shrieking wildly and staggering about as though trying to escape the bright light. She attempted to run into the bedroom, but a hand shining like the sunthe light radiating from Rei Ao's fingertipspressed down on her shoulder.
He focused and bellowed:
"Get out of her!"
"Heeaaahhh!!!"
Mrs. Sawamura twisted even more grotesquely, letting out another sharp wail. With a bit of force, Rei Ao tore a layer of black mist from her body and tossed it casually onto the floor.
