After all, the Index world was rich with scientists. Academy City was a haven for the scientific side of things, full of "tool people," which fit right into Takumi's own academy.
With the teleportation gate set, Takumi entered the group chat to notify Saten Ruiko.
Takumi: [The teleportation gate is ready. You can come over yourself.] [Next, I'm going to move the other worlds.] [@Kato Megumi, Megumiare you back yet?]
After notifying Ruiko, Takumi turned his attention to Kato Megumi's world.
Seeing his message, Megumi paused. Was he moving her world next?
How lucky!
Kato Megumi: [Okay!] [I'm home right now.]
Takumi: [I'm here!]
Right after Megumi replied, Takumi had already arrived at her front door.
Reading his message, Megumi was speechless.
Still, she quickly got up and stepped outside.
"Coming, coming!"
As she walked out, Takumi handed her a spatial device.
"Take me there."
"I'll enter first."
Megumi had a return ticket to her original world. The crossing charm allowed for a round triponce you used it to travel, you could return once more.
Those who immigrated to Takumi's world retained the privilege of returning to their own. But coming back again would cost pointsunless they smuggled themselves in.
Takumi entered the spatial device. Without hesitation, Megumi took him back to her world.
As soon as they arrived, Takumi vanished in a beam of light, leaving Megumi behind.
She smiled and didn't think too much of it.
Now that she was back, she might as well wander around before heading back.
Exiting the alleyway, Megumi began browsing local news on her terminal, checking for any coverage of their group's disappearance.
Sure enough, there were many reports.
Their immigration to Takumi's world had caused a huge stir.
Reading the news, Megumi sighed.
Joining the group had completely changed her fate.
She spent the afternoon strolling through town.
By evening, Takumi finally messaged her.
He had built a massive teleportation gate at Eriri's former house, guarded by numerous mecha soldiers.
For these ordinary worlds, Takumi adopted a very direct approach.
The mecha soldiers infiltrated the network and announced the world's connection to Takumi's.
The entire world erupted in shock.
Megumi ignored the uproar. Now that her world had been relocated, she was ready to return.
Silently, she returned to Takumi's world.
The relocation was completeperfect!
In the following days, Takumi helped transport several more worlds.
Within just a few days, more than a dozen new worlds had appeared in orbit around his own.
Meanwhile, Izayoi had brought his entire community over to settle in Takumi's world.
Box Garden (Little Garden) had fallen into chaos.
But for now, that wasn't Takumi's problem.
After relocating another world, Takumi updated the group chat.
Seeing that he was done, Kurumi Tokisaki quickly tagged him.
Tokisaki Kurumi: [@Takumi, is it my turn now?]
Takumi had been transporting everyone's worlds. It should be her turn now, right?
She couldn't wait to cause trouble for Mana Ouma.
Reading her message, Takumi twitched slightly.
Takumi: [Can I take a break first?]
Even a workhorse would complain at this point.
For several days, Takumi had been running back and forth, relocating two to three worlds per day. He might not feel physically tired, but mentally, he was definitely worn out.
Seeing his reply, Kurumi felt a bit disappointed.
Tokisaki Kurumi: [Alright!]
Since Takumi said so, she would let him rest.
Just as Takumi was about to say more, Prometheus suddenly sent an alert.
"Interdimensional visitor detected."
"Identity: Inori Yuzuriha."
Prometheus reported the name of the invited guest.
Hearing it, Takumi froze.
Then his eyes lit up.
Takumi: [Inori Yuzuriha has arrived. All world transport temporarily halted!]
He declared his break unapologetically.
Upon seeing the message, Fujiwara Chika immediately perked up.
Inori Yuzuriha??
Hold upwhat?!
Chapter 480: I'm Gonna Wreck You!
Fujiwara Chika: [Holy crap!] [Where is she, where is she?]
Sagiri: [Inori Yuzuriha!!!] [Let me see! Where are you right now?~]
Nyaruko: [She's here! I'm coming too!!]
A lot of people really liked Inori Yuzuriha. When they saw Takumi's message, everyone suddenly perked up.
Seeing their reactions, Takumi couldn't help but smile.
Takumi: [Wait a bit, I'll bring her back.] [I'm going to check on her first!]
With that said, Takumi logged off.
"Where is she?" Takumi urgently asked Prometheus.
Since Inori Yuzuriha had already arrived in this world, her location was next.
"She's in an alleyway in City of Hope," Prometheus replied. "She's also holding a Void Genome."
As Prometheus finished speaking, a screen appeared in front of Takumi.
There, with pink hair, Inori Yuzuriha stood looking lost in a small alley, holding a silver bottlethe Void Genome.
It looked like she had just obtained it, possibly right at the beginning of the story?
Could it be that she was transported over as soon as the plot began?
Or maybe the invitation letter and the Genome were placed together, and she picked it up by chance?
Either way, since Inori was here, Takumi naturally had to go check on her.
Thinking this, he closed the screen and disappeared from where he stood.
Meanwhile, in the alley of the City of Hope, Inori stood there, bewildered, looking around.
"Where... is this?"
Wasn't she in that research facility?
Yet after opening an invitation letter, she was suddenly transported here?
What exactly had happened?
Inori's mind buzzed, unable to comprehend where she was.
Just as she was about to step out and look around, a person suddenly appeared in front of her.
Startled, she raised her pistol and aimed at him, gripping the Void Genome tightly.
"Don't be nervous, Miss Inori," Takumi said, a bit helpless seeing the gun pointed at him.
Hearing him call her by name only made Inori more suspicious, and she gripped the gun tighter.
Who was this man? Why did he know her name?
"That thing doesn't work on me," Takumi said.
"And if I wanted to do anything to you, you wouldn't be able to resist."
As Inori's mind ran wild, Takumi suddenly appeared before her, taking both the Genome and her pistol right from her hands.
Inori was stunned, unable to react.
"Who are you?!" she gasped, eyes wide.
Such power?
Who exactly was this man?
She quickly stepped back to create some distance, trying to regain a sense of safety.
"This is no longer your world," Takumi said. "You're in another world now."
With that, he tossed the pistol back to herbut not the Genome. That he held onto.
Takumi looked at the Genome in his hand, full of curiosity. Inori instinctively caught the gun, blinking at it.
The Genome, however, remained in Takumi's possession.
Inori was now even more confused. Another world?
Was this man telling the truth?
"Come with me," Takumi said. "I told you, no need to be so alert. If I meant to hurt you, you couldn't stop me."
Still holding the Genome, he opened a spatial portal right in front of her.
Inori was shocked again by what she saw.
Takumi didn't say more and walked through the portal.
Inori hesitated briefly, then followed.
Just as he said, if he wanted to do anything to her, she wouldn't be able to fight back.
Takumi led Inori through the portal into a massive research facility.
As soon as she stepped through, the portal behind her closed.
Looking around the unfamiliar environment, she grew even more confused.
Why bring her here?
"You should know your own physical condition," Takumi said.
"If you go on like this, you'll die."
"So, let's adjust your body first."
"Mobius, are you there? I brought someone for you!!"
Takumi explained briefly to Inori, then shouted inside the lab.
Hearing this, Inori frowned.
"Who are you? How do you know so much?"
Even this he knew?
Now she was even more bewildered. This man seemed to know a lot, but was also a total mystery.
"My name is Takumi," he replied.
"I'm the boss of this world."
"You came here because of an invitation letter I sent out."
"You must have come into contact with one, right?"
"That letter randomly invites people from other worlds. You were chosen."
Takumi looked at her and began to explain.
Hearing this, Inori blinked.
"Invitation letter..."
Now that he mentioned it... Inori remembered the invitation tucked away.
She quickly pulled it out.
"This one?" she asked, holding it up and glancing between it and Takumi.
"Exactly," he nodded.
But Takumi was now more curious about where she'd stored it.
Was it really just in her pocket?
"What the hell did you bring me this time?!"
A furious voice rang out from within the lab.
The owner of the voice was none other than Mobius.
She had been in the middle of an experiment and was startled by Takumi's shout, nearly dropping her equipment.
Because of that, Mobius stormed out, full of murderous aura.
Klein followed behind her, looking somewhat annoyedlikely having just been scolded.
"Help adjust her body and study this thing," Takumi said, handing the Genome to Mobius.
"Klein, explain our world to her."
Though Takumi could handle it himself, this was a job better left to Mobius. She'd give Inori the perfect solution.
Mobius frowned, eyeing the Genome and then looking at Inori.
"Clone? Got it."
This was right up her alley. After all, she had adjusted the Sister clones.
With that, she casually took the Genome and grabbed Inori, dragging her into the lab.
Inori instinctively tried to resist, but it was pointless.
"Don't struggle, she's treating you," Takumi reminded her.
Hearing that, Inori finally stopped resisting.
Hopefully, nothing would go wrong?
Inori was nervous beyond belief as she was pulled into the lab and placed inside a culture tank.
Takumi didn't follow them in.
After all, what happened in there was premium content.
Chapter 481: Inori — Please Let Me Go Back
When Inori regained consciousness again, it was already the middle of the night.
Seeing her awake, Klein couldn't help but say, "Everything's normal now. From here on, your body won't collapse anymore. Also, the other consciousness within you has been extracted. You're now just an ordinary human."
Klein looked at the newly awakened Inori and explained her physical condition.
Inori blinked in confusion.
"Um..."
She didn't quite understand.
What was all this?
Seeing Inori's dazed expression, Klein didn't bother explaining further.
Better to let Takumi handle that.
Thinking of this, she called out, "Prometheus. Notify Takumi. Let him know she's awake."
With that, Klein turned and went back into the lab. Mobius still needed her help with project 107.
Looked like it was another night of overtime.
All Takumi's fault.
Klein was clearly feeling annoyed.
Elsewhere, Takumi received Prometheus' message. Knowing Inori had woken up, he promptly made his way to the research facility.
When he arrived, he saw Inori sitting there, looking dazed.
Clearly, she still hadn't fully grasped what had happened.
When she noticed Takumi, she finally spoke.
"Excuse me, where am I? Can you explain more clearly?"
This man had brought her here, and even had people do something to her.
"Didn't I already explain it once? You still don't understand?"
Takumi sounded helpless.
Hadn't he explained it before?
But Inori shook her head.
"Other worlds and stuff... it's too strange."
It was just... all too weird.
Yet, the abilities Takumi showed didn't seem fake.
Seeing her confusion, Takumi sighed. He decided to directly transmit knowledge into her mind.
The sudden influx stunned Inori.
She quickly focused on the foreign knowledge now appearing in her head.
As she processed the information, her eyes widened.
"Can I go back?"
Inori was shocked.
So this really was another world?
Takumi had revealed everything about this world to her.
Understanding that this wasn't her original world shook her deeply.
"Of course you can go back. It's not a big problem~!"
"But... aren't you going to enjoy your time here first?"
Takumi smiled.
She came all this way, and now she wanted to leave so soon?
"No... I have things I need to do back home."
Inori frowned slightly.
She had disappeared suddenlyher friends must be worried sick.
"You've already been here quite a while. They probably think something happened to you. Since that's the case, why not stay a bit longer?"
"There's a lot here that could benefit you. You could grow stronger here and return more capable. That way, you'll be of more help to your companions."
Why rush back so soon?
Take a break while you're here.
"This..."
Hearing his words, Inori hesitated.
What he said made sense.
She had suddenly vanishedher friends must be panicking.
But exactly because of that, she needed to go back quickly.
Resolving herself, Inori looked firm.
"I want to go back! My friends are waiting for me."
She was resolute.
Seeing her determination, Takumi didn't argue.
"Alright then!! If that's the case, I'll send you back. And I'll bring your world over to mine."
She was too resoluteit wasn't possible to change her mind.
Since that was the case, Takumi decided to accompany her.
Inori blinked.
"You're coming to my world too?"
This strong man, going to her world?
"Yeah. I'm pulling over the worlds of others too."
"Once that's done, you'll be able to freely visit my world as well. I'll also help you eliminate the Apocalypse Virus over there."
Takumi was completely transparent with her.
Inori was thrilled.
"You can eliminate that virus?"
Even someone as emotionless as her couldn't hide her excitement.
"It's no big deal! Let's go. To your world."
Takumi summoned a magic array to envelop them both.
"Wait! When you get there, see if you can find that Genome again. I don't think it's a finished product yet."
Just as Takumi was about to teleport, Mobius's voice rang out.
"Got it! I'll grab someone for you to experiment on later."
Takumi gave her a glance, then activated the array and vanished with Inori.
Turns out, Inori's world was relatively close.
