They also copy old texts as training, preserving many ancient documents and myths into modern timesincluding legends of the Goddess.
Among those legends are references to the "Goddess Monument," describing how the Goddess supposedly imbued stones with her own magic.
People naturally wanted to decipher these monuments. There are ten such Goddess Monuments spread across the land. No one has successfully interpreted any of the ten so far.
Since she'd run into one of these monuments, Frieren couldn't resist trying to interpret it. But after she touched the monument and poured her mana in, an accident occurred:
Frieren: "I just remember a holy radiance bursting from the monument, engulfing Aura and me, and the world in front of us changed. Then, by gathering information, I realized this timeframe is decades after the time I was originally in."
