Chapter 572: Trinity Seven will eventually become the Demon King's bride (Bonus Chapter)
The ground shook violently.
"Ugh!"
Ai Hayasaka, who was just an ordinary human, couldn't keep her balance and toppled overfortunately, Rei Ao caught her.
"What's going on? Is that an enemy?!"
Lilith, out of nowhere, pulled out a large sniper rifle and aimed at the figure in the sky, only for a hand to press it down.
"Don't worryshe's my friend."
In a flash, Rei Ao appeared in front of Yatogami Tohka. Tohka's expression was downcast.
Sure enough, she had caused a Spacequake.
"Don't make that face. I told you, something like a Spacequake is no big deal for meI can handle it."
He placed his hand on her head. A burst of magic instantly shrouded her body, isolating the spirit energy and whatever was distorting space. Gradually, the tremors subsided.
"?"
Yatogami Tohka tilted her head in confusion.
"The Spacequakeis over?"
"That's all there is to it. Come on, let's go down."
Rei Ao casually took her hand and led her to the ground. The others began to realize that what they'd just witnessed was precisely the Spacequake they'd discussed in the chat group. And the girl before them must be the Spirit, Yatogami Tohka.
Ai Hayasaka stood there, dazed. She'd come here just to see if other worlds were real; she never expected to end up in immediate dangerand the massive tremors, like an earthquake, were triggered by a single girl! And there were people who could fly! If she weren't seeing it with her own eyes, she'd swear this was a movie set.
Rei Ao: "Is everyone alright?"
"We're good," came the replies.
Lieselotte stepped forward to study Yatogami Tohka.
"There's something very peculiar about Yatogami Tohka-san's power. It's not the same as magic, nor does it resemble the Demon King factor."
It was Tohka's first time meeting anyone else here. She looked nervous and on guard, her right hand gripping a large swordSandalphon. Yet unconsciously, she was inching closer to Rei Ao. Perhaps his earlier actions had earned her trust or favor.
"That's because she's a Spirit," Rei Ao explained offhand. "Her power comes from something called a Spirit Crystalit's spirit energy, so of course it's different from magic."
He quickly shifted back to the main issue.
"Anyway, this isn't the time to talk about that. Weren't you all heading to deal with the Collapse incident and Kurata Yui?"
"Oh, right, we should hurry to the dungeon!" Fudou Akio smacked her forehead, almost forgetting.
As Kasuga Hijiri was about to walk around Rei Ao to leave, someone suddenly rushed past herKannazuki Arin, who hadn't said a word so far. She slipped right in front of Rei Ao, stood on her tiptoes, and planted a kiss on his lips, then calmly took his left hand in hers.

A second of silence passed.
"Eh?!"
Yamana Mira let out a squeal, her cheeks bright red.
"Th-that's just shameless!"
"No" Lilith was about to throw in her own retort but realized Yamana Mira had basically stolen her line.
"Hey," Kazama Levi asked, standing closest to Kannazuki Arin, "aren't you worried you'll get torn apart by his actual girlfriend for doing that right in front of her?"
What confused Levi the most was that Kannazuki Arin had always been the type to barely speak at all. She couldn't figure out why Arin was acting so bold now.
"Because he is my husband," Arin declared, stunning everyone.
"Huh?"
Selena's jaw dropped.
"Y-your husband? And how did I not know about this?"
"I'm the Demon King's wife," Arin explained. "He is the Demon Kingtherefore, he is my husband."
From the moment Rei Ao appeared, she'd sensed it: the aura of the Demon King. It was the same aura Kasuga Hijiri and some of the others displayed. Arin was absolutely certain she wasn't mistaken.
Everyone fell momentarily silent.
"Oh, that," Fudou Akio murmured, rubbing her chin. "Didn't the Trinity Seven prophecy say something about being the Demon King's wife? In that case, we"
"Stop talking nonsense!!!"
Yamana Mira nearly shouted, cutting Akio off.
"Who wants to be his wife?! Let's just get to the dungeon and settle this Collapse thing already!"
She marched off briskly, leading the way. The more sharp-eyed among them noticed that her cheeks were burning red. She was obviously embarrassed
Meanwhile, Kannazuki Arin asked Rei Ao, "So, which do you prefer we call ourselvesyour wives, your spouses?"
Rei Ao had been briefly surprised by her sudden kiss, but his composure quickly returnedhe was hardly a clueless teenager anymore. Since it basically fell into his lap, he wasn't about to say no. He gently pried her hand free

Arin's eyes dimmed as if she thought he'd rejected her. Then, without warning, he slipped an arm around her waist, pulling her against him.

Arin's heart began to pound furiously.
"U-Understood, Rei Ao."
Watching from the side, Yatogami Tohka frowned slightly. She felt an odd pang of discomfort. On impulse, she reached out and took hold of Rei Ao's other hand. Rei Ao's lips curved up in a smile.
Looks like he was quite popular with the ladies right now.
Lilith sidled up to Kasuga Hijiri and whispered, "Uh, Hijiriaren't you going to do anything about this big perv?"
"Do what?" Kasuga Hijiri cocked her head. "Why should I?"
"Well, because he's your boyfriend, right? He's, um, pretty flirtatious. If it were me" Lilith trailed off, realizing she sounded jealous.
Hijiri merely giggled.
"It's different with him. Plus, a Demon King never has just one Queen."
She left it at that, adding quietly, "Maybe the prophecy will come true. The Trinity Seven really might all end up as the Demon King's brides."

Lilith paled as though she'd been struck by lightning. The prophecy of the Trinity Seven echoed in her head. If it actually came true, that would meanshe, too, would?
"Tch"
Ai Hayasaka, trailing behind everyone, was buffeted by wave after wave of shock. She recalled something she'd noted in her journal: that Rei Ao had a wandering eye and stayed involved with many women. Now she was witnessing it firsthand.

Now that their vision had cleared, they noticed a large stone door sealed with magical chains.

Asami Lilith: "@Kurata Yui, are you behind this door? [Picture]"
Kurata Yui: "Ah! You guys are here already? Yeah, I live there."
Fudou Akio: "Alright, guess we'll just bust this door open then."

Tohka stared at Hijiri, as if verifying she was telling the truth. After a moment, she lowered her sword, stepping aside without another word.

Chapter 574: Sleeping Beauty is Awake!
The space beyond the stone door was simultaneously the place where Kurata Yui was sealed and also where she lived.
However, it wasn't some grimy, chain-filled dungeon cell. Instead, it was a bright room, decorated in a cute, pink, girly stylemore like a cozy bedroom than a prison.
Lying on a pink bed was a quiet girl with long white hair, her body wrapped tightly in black magic power. She was Kurata Yui, one of the Trinity Seven. The shifting black aura around her was the source of her magic running amok.
Rei Ao didn't rush to calm down the runaway magic. Instead, he glanced at a nearby wall.
"Come out," he said coldly.
A brief moment of silence
Suddenly, the pink wall rippled like water. Then, a shadowy black shape emerged.
"Grr!"
The dark figure took the form of a giant dragon, emitting a series of low snarls toward Rei Ao. This was a Dragon-Form Phantom Beast, a mindless magical creature lacking gender or real intelligence. It had been placed here as a guardian to protect the seal on Kurata Yui and prevent any intruders from breaking it.
