Chapter 635: Conquering the Brave Hero!
Hearing that her Master was going to avenge her, Satania sprang off Rei Ao's lap, excitement radiating from every pore as she spun around in the living room.
"Awesome! Gabriel, you just wait!"
She waved her fist, tears still lingering on her face but already beaming brightly.
"This time, I'll make sure she kneels before me and calls me 'Satania-sama'!"
Vignette, worried, spoke up:
"Satania, you should keep revenge within reason"
"Vignette, you're way too kind-hearted!"
Satania put her hands on her hips, pouting like a child.
"Against an evil fallen angel like Gabriel, we need to strike hard."
Rei Ao stood, patting Satania's head.
"All right, first go wash your face. Then we'll discuss our plan in detail."
"Mm!"
Satania nodded vigorously, hopping off toward the washroom, not a trace of her earlier sobbing meltdown in sight. Vignette watched her go, then said softly,
"Thank you, Rei Ao-kun. She's been so upset these past few days"
"She is my student, after all,"
Rei Ao replied with a small smile.
"Besides, somebody needs to put Gabriel in her place from time to time."
"Right By the way, Vigne, how are you doing on living expenses these days? If you need to earn some money, I happen to have time today."
Rei Ao switched topics abruptly.
"Eh?"
Vignette instantly grasped the meaninghe was hinting at that method of "earning money."
"U-um"
Recalling the eavesdropping incident from before, Vignette blushed and lowered her head.
"N-no need. I can still manage my current expenses."
"All right."
Rei Ao shrugged.
"But remember, you can come any time. Mai and the others are still excited knowing you're listening."
"Wha?!"
Like she'd heard something forbidden, Vignette's mind went blank. Just then, Satania came back from washing her face and spotted Vignette's odd behavior.
"Master, what's wrong with Vignette?"
Rei Ao chuckled.
"It's nothing. I just asked if she needed money for her rent."
"Money for living expenses!"
Hearing that, Satania's eyes shone.
"Right! Gabriel beat me and won all my money in those contests, so I'm totally broke!"
Suddenly reminded of her tight finances, she raised her hand like a child in class:
"Master, please let me earn some living expenses too!"
"Sure. Tonight, you can sleep in the living room. I'll get you a pillow and blanket."
Without further ado, Rei Ao agreed. It was precisely the outcome he'd hoped fortime to begin "tutoring" his little demon.
"Woohoo!"
Satania cheered, while Vignette fretted.
"Satania, we can't just"
She wanted to dissuade her from such a bizarre plansecretly overhearing those shameful nightly sessions. But she couldn't say it out loud and was cut off mid-sentence as Satania grabbed her hand.
"Vigne, you want more money too, right? Let's do it together!"
"I"
Vignette knew she ought to refuse. But seeing the look in Satania's expectant eyes, she found herself whispering:
"All right."
"Yes!"
Satania exulted. Rei Ao, observing the scene, gave a contented smile. Sure enough, using Satania was the quickest way to sway Vignette.

Nighttime
Satania and Vignette lay on the large sofa in the living room. In the darkness, they listened quietly, hearts racing, waiting for that all-too-familiar "soundtrack" to begin. Before long, it did start.
The first voice was Sora?
Vignette's cheeks grew hot. She couldn't believe that tiny girl could be so well, it was hard to describe. She felt ashamed of herself for being involved. Then she noticed Satania stirring.
"Mm"
"Huh?"
Vignette realizedSatania was at it again?! She wasn't even trying to hide it, ignoring Vignette's presence
So bold! Vignette's thoughts spun. Is that really so pleasurable? She found herself curious yet too shy to try.

In the bedroom
Emilia, face flushed, glared at Rei Ao in outrage.
"You're unbelievable"
Seeing Sora bullied, and then being dragged in herselfshe didn't know how to scold this awful man anymore. He was simply inhuman!
"What's so shocking?"
Rei Ao flashed a mischievous grin.
"I'm showing you all plenty of affection."
"Tch oh, right,"
Emilia huffed.
He turned abruptly:
"Emilia, how about switching into your Hero form? I think it'd be more fun that way."
"Huh? Why?!"
She was at a loss.
"Why do we have to do that, now?!"
At that, Tohru tilted her head, then smacked her fist in realization:
"Got it. Rei Ao-kun wants the thrill of conquering a 'Hero'?"
Her comment made the others understand. Futaba mused:
"Being subdued as a brave Hero type does sound interesting."
Mai rolled her eyes.
"Must we do it that way every time?"
In response, Rei Ao nodded gravely.
"Yeswe're at a new 2.0 upgrade for speed, you see."
All eyes turned to Emilia.
"I"
She could feel them all staring, and she teetered on the edge of an outburst.
"Fine, fineI get it!"
Ultimately, she gave in. With a flash of white, Emilia's hair turned silver and her outfit into a Hero's attire. Right then, Sora had finished up her turn, so it fell to Emilia to become Rei Ao's next target.
"C'mere, my Hero."
"Wait, my armor"
"Let me remove it personallymakes it feel more ceremonial."
"Eh?!"

Chapter 636: Switching Body at a Perfect Time...
Toyohama Nodoka slammed the door shut.
Tears blurred her vision.
She threw herself onto the bed, burying her face deep in the pillow. Muffled sobs echoed through the tiny room.
"Whywhy does this always happen to me"
Her fingers dug into the bedsheet so fiercely that her knuckles went white.
The words her mother had said at dinner still rang in her ears:
"Nodoka, take a look at your sister. At the same age, Mai already won so many awards. And what about you?"
Once again today, her mother had used Mai as the benchmark to belittle her. It stung deeply.
The pillow was already soaked with her tears. Nodoka rolled over, staring up at the glow-in-the-dark star stickers on the ceiling. Mai had given her those star stickers for her 12th birthday.
She reached out, as though trying to touch those distant stars.
"Ifif only I could become my sister"
That thought appeared again, coiling around her heart like a venomous snake.
"If I were Sakurajima Mai, Mom would definitely look at me with pride Everyone would like me"
Suddenly, it began raining outside, the downpour loud against the windows, almost as if answering her wish.
Nodoka felt a sudden dizziness. The star stickers on the ceiling seemed to spin. Darkness gradually swallowed up her consciousness
Elsewhere.
After giving "happiness" in turn to Sora, Emilia, Futaba, Tohru, Ilia, and the others, it was Mai's turn.
Mai was more passionate than expected, venting all her pent-up frustration. Because Rei Ao had recently spent most of his time with the others, she'd grown quite jealous.
Confronted by Mai's fervor, Rei Ao reciprocated with all his focus and energy. Their almost feral abandon made Futaba and the rest speechless, as if Mai had undergone a terrifying onslaught.
Rei Ao gently caressed Sakurajima Mai's cheek. Under the soft lighting, her skin gleamed like fine porcelain. At such a spellbound moment, Mai truly was enticing.
But in the next second:
"!!!"
Mai's body abruptly froze, all movement stopping, and her eyes lost their sparkle.
"Huh?"
Rei Ao paused, baffled. Futaba and the others also noticed something was off.
"What's up with Mai?"
Tohru frowned, poking her. Mai gave no response.
Emilia's face changed dramatically, alarmed:
"Rei Ao, did you overdo it?! Did youkill Mai?!"
Rei Ao twitched the corner of his mouth.
"Give me a break."
Never mind that Mai was no ordinary human now; there was no way she'd die at his hands.
Right then, Mai stirred.
"Mmso comfywhat is this"
She murmured, heat flooding her bodyyet feeling so comfortable and utterly satisfied, a sensation unlike anything she'd experienced before. Meanwhile, her lifeless eyes slowly regained focus.
And then
She realized there was a man and five women, all of them staring at her, each one wearing nothing at all, while she herself was currentlywith that attractive guy
"???"
Though the pleasure coursing through her was definitely that, her mind momentarily blanked.
"Imust be dreaming, right?"
She only had that possibility in mindafter all, she didn't recognize these people at all. There was no way she'd give away her precious "first time" to some random guy, let alone join in with other people. It had to be a dreama scandalous dream, but a dream nonetheless.
"A dream? Mai, what are you talking about?"
Futaba was perplexed.
"Mai?"
The woman blinked:
"SakurajimaMai?"
"Why are you repeating your own name so strangely?"
Futaba felt a weird chill. The other woman gave a wry smile:
"Ah, how pathetic. Even in my dreams, I can't escape Sakurajima Mai's shadow?"
"Sister How can I ever surpass you?"
She murmured to herself. Emilia and the rest felt a shiver at her words. Tohru narrowed her eyes:
"Rei Ao-kun, she's not Mai."
"Mm. I know."
Rei Ao's gaze was amused, and he shifted a bit.
"!!!"
"M-Mai" stiffened.
"Thisthis feelingso weird"
She blushed, looking at Rei Ao so close to her.
"Woah, Iwhy would I dream of someone this handsome? I guess I've reached that age?"
"ButMom told me I can't get a boyfriend, I have to become a star."
She mumbled, taking stock of Rei Ao's good looks and superb physiqueand realizing how unbelievably good he was just now.
Pressing her lips together, "Mai" wrapped her arms around his neck:
"Ugh, it's just a dream, so it can't hurt, right?"
She figured she'd just enjoy this in her dreamher mother wouldn't know.
But Rei Ao suddenly chuckled:
"Are you sure you don't mind doing this with me while wearing Mai's face and body?"
"Huh?"
Toyohama Nodoka froze. She didn't understand his words until he went on:
"Mai's face, Mai's body?"
"Wait, what? Look."
With a flick of his wrist, Rei Ao conjured a mirror. Seeing the reflection, "Mai" went slack-jawed. The mirror showed not her real face, butSakurajima Mai!
At the same time, Rei Ao explained:
"And, you're mistakenthis isn't a dream. It's real."
He gave her the simplest demonstration: pressing lightly on Mai's chest.
"Ow! That hurts!"
Pain shot through "Mai," forcing her to focus. She realized how bad this situation was. If she felt painthis was no dream?!
"W-who are you? W-where is this?"
Her voice trembled, panic in her eyes.
"I'm notMai"
She stared down at her hands, then touched her face, her expression turning horrified.
"What's happening? My voicemy body"
She shrank back like a frightened creature. Clearly a reaction Sakurajima Mai would never have. Futaba and the others all looked puzzled. Emilia couldn't help asking:
"Rei Ao-kun, what's going on? She's saying she's not Mai?"
"She's telling the truth."
Rei Ao nodded. Yet he let the newcomer speak for herself. He steadied her agitated movements with gentle hands.
"No need to panic just yet. Why not calm down and discuss what's happening? Let's start with a little self-introduction."
She bit her lip, tears pooling at the corners of her eyes.
"Imy name is Toyohama Nodoka"
"Mai's younger sister"
Silence fell. The drumming of the rain outside grew louder, lightning splitting the sky and illuminating the shock on Futaba and the others' faces.
"Eh?!"
"Huh?!"

Chapter 637: Soul Switch Between Nodoka and Mai
"Mai'syounger sister?"
Emilia wondered if she'd misheard or if Mai was playing a prank, but the reality was plainly different. The panic on "Mai's" face was far too genuine to be staged.
"Could it be real?"
"It is real,"
Tohru spoke up. Under "Mai"'s fearful gaze, Tohru's eyes shifted into her draconic pupils, staring so intently it made the girl shudder.
"Right now, another person's soul is inside Mai's body."
Just then, Rei Ao's phone rang. An unknown number was requesting a video call. He had his suspicions, so he answered straight away.
The screen showed a blonde girl looking anxious.
"Rei Ao-kun, something weird is happening!"
Rei Ao remained calm and nodded.
"I'm aware, Mai. I'll bring you back right now. We'll talk once you're here."
With that, he hung up, and in the same moment, he separated from the body that housed Toyohama Nodoka's soul. Turning to the panicked Nodoka-in-Mai's-body:
"I know you're confused," he said gently, "but let's hold off on explanations. You might want to take a shower first."
It was clearly not the best time to launch into a long story.

Toyohama Nodoka bit her lip, covering her borrowed body's exposed skin as she jumped up and dashed to the bathroom. Two girls asleep on the couch didn't notice her.
In the living room, Futaba finally asked:
"Rei Ao-kun, what's going on? Isn't that Mai? Yet Tohru said she's someone else entirelyshe even claims she's another person."
"It's simple enough. Because of something like 'Adolescent Syndrome,' Mai and this younger sister, Toyohama Nodoka, ended up swapping souls."
Rei Ao had seen a similar phenomenon before with Yuian and her daughter Yui.
"Anyway, let me bring Mai back first."
Inside the bathroom, washing off the remnants of that intense experience, Toyohama Nodoka blankly stared at herself in the mirror. Sure enough, it was Sakurajima Mai's facethat oh-so-familiar face of her older cousin/role model. Nodoka's hands trembled as she brushed the glass, then pinched her own arm hard.
"Owthis really isn't a dream"
She whispered, voice trembling with despair. Her mind was in turmoil. She had no idea why she'd become her sister's look-alike, nor how it happened. More crucially, how had she ended up in such an intimate situation with that man?
