On top of that, there was a huge amount of information about Sacred Gear setups.
The artifacts Veya was planning to make weren't just a handful.
She just hadn't been able to collect all the materials, so she couldn't create them yet.
That made Takumi very interested.
Takumi absorbed and integrated all this knowledge.
Now, Takumi could say he'd basically mastered all the systems of this world.
Once he got back, he'd be able to set up a magic academy.
Those cursed childrenlet them start learning magic.
Or maybe swordsmanship, too.
Besides magic, there were all kinds of martial arts and immortality techniques recorded in Heaven's archives.
The scope was really broad.
While Takumi was steadily absorbing all this knowledge, Michael and the other Archangels were having an important conversation with their Lord.
This included the issue Takumi had raised about the evil gods from another world.
After hearing Michael's explanation, Veya nodded gravely.
"About these things, actually, I had sensed something."
"Long ago, there really were foreign gods who came to this world."
"But I never thought it'd be related to that world."
"And in the future..."
She looked troubled at this point.
Though she had been resurrected, her power hadn't fully returned.
At best, she was at half strength compared to her prime.
To completely recover would take time.
And even at full power, she probably couldn't contend with a god from another world.
So, this was a major problem.
In other words, for now, everything had to be entrusted to Takumi.
Michael had already told her Takumi would go to that world soon.
Thinking of this, her gaze turned to Gabriel.
"Gabriel, what do you think about what Takumi said earlier about going with him?"
Veya brought up the matter again.
Suddenly asked about it, Gabriel was caught off guard.
By the sound of it, the Lord wanted her to go with Takumi?
With that in mind, Gabriel straightened up.
"Lord, I can accompany Mr. Takumi to his world."
If going with Takumi meant he'd help resolve this world's crisis, then she was willing.
Even if she didn't, Takumi would probably do it anyway.
That had been the agreement from the start.
But she never imagined the Lord would actually be resurrected.
That was already a huge surprise.
Seeing Gabriel's reply, Veya nodded seriously.
"Good. Then go with him. Bring your subordinates as well."
She turned to Michael.
"Even if Mr. Takumi leaves, there'll still be someone who can contact him at any time, right?"
Michael quickly nodded at her words.
"Yes. One of the current Lucifer's little sister's retainers..."
Michael paused, then continued,
"She's the daughter of Byakko."
Hearing that name, Veya's eyes flashed with surprise.
"I see. I understand. That's fine, then."
"As long as you can contact Mr. Takumi at any time, there's no problem."
"If Gabriel goes over, she should have no trouble returning, either."
If that was the case, there really was nothing to worry about.
Gabriel agreed. As long as she could return, it'd be fine.
She might not come back often, but at least there'd be hope.
Veya also decided she needed to have a proper talk with Takumi.
For now, she wouldn't disturb him.
Besides, Veya had more important things to do.
The other chief gods of the different pantheons had probably already heard about her return.
At the same time, outside, there was still Ophis...
Chapter 84 Why Not Consider a Counterattack?
In the world of DxD, the various pantheons were especially lively at this moment.
The sudden mass appearance of angels.
And soon after, the news of the God of the Bible's resurrection.
There was no doubteverything that happened today left every god in shock.
What kind of day was this?
At the same time, everyone understood why the angels had moved out on such a grand scale. It was surely for their God.
Now, with the news of God's resurrection, it only confirmed things further.
Some had already started offering congratulationsespecially those pantheons friendly with the Bible God's faction. God's resurrection made them even more excited.
When Veya received these messages, she immediately had Michael deal with them.
She herself went to find Ophis.
While she was talking to the angels, Ophis had been led to another part of Heaven to rest.
When Veya arrived where Ophis was, she found her in a daze.
Noticing Veya's arrival, Ophis's eyes finally focused. The two locked gazes, and Veya entered and sat down.
"Where is Takumi?"
Ophis got straight to the point.
He had been gone for a while now.
Ophis had made up her mind: she wanted Takumi to help her deal with Great Red.
"Are you going to leave with him too?"
Hearing this, Veya looked at Ophis in confusion.
She was aware of Takumi and Ophis's conversationsMichael had already informed her.
"Yes. This world is no longer peaceful. I need a place of tranquility. Going to another world might be a good choice."
Takumi's offer seemed genuine.
While he'd help solve some problems here, if she didn't agree to go with him, there'd be no way to deal with Great Red. Ophis simply didn't have the strength for that. If she borrowed Takumi's strength to beat Great Red, there was a chance Great Red would come looking for payback after Takumi left. She could end up being expelled again.
So, why not just go with Takumi? He was incredibly strong. Surely his domain would be a better place.
After a lot of thought, Ophis decided to follow Takumi and see for herself.
"That's fine, then."
Ophis going with Takumi?
Veya actually agreed with this. She knew Ophis's charactercompletely uninterested in worldly affairs, barely moving unless something really happened. But because of her immense power, Ophis was always being targeted by others. If she left this world, that might actually be for the best.
"I'm going to see Takumi now. Will you come?"
After a moment of silence, Veya invited Ophis to join her.
Ophis's eyes lit up at once. Of course she'd go.
Seeing her reaction, Veya understood and signaled for Ophis to follow. The two headed to the top floor of the library.
Ophis wasn't interested in anything around her, even though it was her first time here. She followed Veya to where Takumi was.
Veya looked at the room, her eyes wavering slightly. Nothing had changedeverything was just as it was when she left. Takumi was probably the only one who'd come here.
The two entered and saw the robots still scanning. But by now, Takumi was almost finished. Most things had already been scanned.
Seeing that Veya and Ophis had arrived, Takumi looked up.
"Is everything settled?"
Veya nodded. "Gabriel has agreed to go with you. Mr. Takumi, I hope you'll take good care of Gabriel."
She didn't waste words and stated it plainly. Gabriel's decision had already been madeshe would leave this world with Takumi.
Hearing this, Takumi's eyes sparkled.
"Of course, I'll definitely take care of her. If you need anything, you can find Akenoshe can contact me anytime."
Takumi was in a great mood. This was just perfect. He'd finally have an angel of his own.
And if, in the future, some elves joined the groupwell, Takumi considered himself an elf too, and now there was an angel!
No complaints at all. Life was good~!
Once that was settled, Veya moved on to another matter.
"Mr. Takumi, I'd like to talk about the exe world."
Saying this, Veya sat down across from Takumi.
Takumi blinked. "I already told Michael and the others I'd take care of it. That was part of the deal for letting me have access here. Is there more to discuss?"
"I know! But what I want to ask is, could you please cut off the passage between the two worlds afterward?"
That's what Veya meant. The other world was extremely dangerous. Even if Takumi wiped out the evil gods there, new ones might appear someday. So, if possible, she hoped he could directly sever the link between the two worlds.
Takumi understood at once. But to him, it didn't really matter.
"Does it really make a difference? Once I've handled things over there, you could even launch a counterattack. Why sever the connection?"
That was an entire world. Once Takumi confirmed the top powerhouses there were defeated, wouldn't this world's people want to conquer it? Wouldn't it be great to seize a whole world's worth of resources? Even if he took the biggest share, there'd still be so much left.
Veya shook her head. "There are too many ambitious people in our world. If we tried to counterattack, it'd just lead to a civil war after taking over. So the best thing is to sever the connectionor maybe even destroy that world completely. Just pretend nobody ever knew about the other world. That's the safest route."
The great wars among the gods may have paused, but fighting never really stopped below. Veya was well aware of this.
Takumi nodded after listening to her reasoning.
"Alright. If that's what you want, then when the time comes, I'll just clean that world out and sever the passage. That's no problem."
If that's what they wanted, that's what he'd do.
"Thank you very much, Mr. Takumi!"
Seeing Takumi agree, Veya breathed a sigh of relief. Her business was finished. Now it was Ophis's turn. With that, she looked at Ophisnext, it was up to her to speak with Takumi.
Chapter 85 Heavens Ambassador Gabriel!
Takumi's gaze also landed on Ophis.
Earlier, he'd just left her alone to think things through herself.
Now, had she made up her mind?
"I'll go with you. But you have to help me beat up that guy!"
Ophis said this with complete seriousness.
Hearing her, Takumi grinned with interest.
"You'd better be sure. If I take you to my place and you regret it, I'm not sending you back~. It's actually pretty troublesome to go back and forth. If I take care of the business with exe, then all those dangers I warned you about won't happen here anymore. So, if you stay, you can still go back to the Dimensional Gap in the future. Think it through carefully. Don't regret it laterbecause I don't have the points to send you back."
Ophis nodded. "I've thought it through. In this world, they just want my power anyway. So, it's fine to leave. Besides I can't beat that guy, even if I get help from others."
She was very aware of this. Relying on people like Cao Cao? Impossible. They simply weren't strong enough. If they're all trying to use her power, how could they ever defeat Great Red? Ophis might look absentminded, but she understood a lot. Unless you had overwhelming strength, there was no way to beat Great Red. In this world, very few could match it.
So, she decided to leave with Takumi. As long as she could punch that guy before leaving, that'd be enough.
Hearing Ophis say all this, Takumi was surprised.
"So that's what you think. Well, as long as you're sure you won't regret it."
Since she was clear about her decision, it was perfect.
Ophis nodded again, saying nothing more. From now on, she would follow Takumi, at least until they dealt with Great Red and then left together.
Seeing the two of them settle things, Veya started asking Takumi about his world, as well as Gabriel's situation.
If Gabriel went with Takumi, she'd bring her angels alongat least several hundred of them. All those angels would follow Gabriel to Takumi's world. Wasn't that basically making Gabriel Heaven's ambassador?
Takumi and Veya chatted together. He also shared information about his own world and other worlds. Hearing about so many Bible Gods in other worlds, Veya's eyes flashed with intrigue. That was truly interesting. Although, maybe the Gods in those worlds were male.
"If I ever get the chance, I'd like to meet another world's God."
She was being sincere.
"So, why not come with me too?"
Hearing this, Veya was speechless.
"That's obviously impossible. I can't just leave this world for now."
How could she just up and leave? She was this world's Bible Godit wasn't so easy to abandon everything. If she went to another world, her power would also drop dramatically.
Takumi just shrugged, dropping the subject.
While the two chatted, many of Takumi's robots finished their work and stopped. Their task was complete. Noticing this, Takumi stood up.
"I've finished collecting everything from here. Now I'll head to the other pantheons. I'll take care of those evil gods, so you can focus on your own business."
Having said that, he began putting away his robots. Veya nodded in response. Takumi wanted this world's knowledge and magical systemsof course he'd have to visit the other pantheons too. She had gathered a lot, but not everything.
Once the robots were packed up, Takumi looked at Ophis.
"Ophis, let's go! I'll take you on a tour of the other pantheons~!"
With that, Takumi opened a spatial passage and stepped through. Ophis hurried to catch up.
Bringing Ophis alongwho knew how the other pantheons would react?
Takumi wandered around the world with Ophis, startling many gods with their sudden visits. Upon arrival, Takumi unleashed a burst of intimidationhis overwhelming aura left the gods gasping for air.
After a friendly chat, they could only hand over their pantheon's knowledge.
Of course, some were unwilling, but before long, they relented.
The Herrscher of Reason rewrote their minds, making them think Takumi was their friend. Not even gods could stop him. Still, stubborn ones were rareafter all, Takumi had Ophis with him. Who dared defy him?
With that, everything went smoothly. Takumi collected all the artifacts and knowledge from each pantheon.
He came and went, but it felt as if he'd never been therehe only copied things, after all. That made the gods frustrated. And with Takumi so openly dragging Ophis along, everyone in the world's pantheons soon knew about this terrifying guy collecting their knowledge. Many were left sulking.
Of course, Takumi didn't visit every pantheon. For example, he skipped the Indian godshe didn't want to get involved with any weird flavors. So he just ignored them.
The Norse and Greek pantheons, though, Takumi visited thoroughly, collecting almost everything there was to collect.
After that, Serafall finally managed to bring the person Takumi wanted.
But when Takumi returned to Kuoh Town, he was surprised: not only were Lavinia Reni, Vali, and Tobio Ikuse there, but other Sacred Gear wielders too. It was a full-on Sacred Gear meetup.
