Hayasaka Ai: "Rei Ao-kun, Lady Kaguya requests to come along as well."
Julis: "Admin! I'm applying tooI must verify the existence of another world myself!"
Rei Ao raised an eyebrow, a faint smile flickering in his multicolored eyes.
He could feel the caution in Ai's phrasing, whereas Julis's plea carried scholarly rigor and an iron-clad resolve.

He paused deliberately; the chat fell silent.
He could almost picture Kaguya's ears turning pink.
Hayasaka Ai: "My lady simply thinks such an experience would be valuable academic capital."
The clumsy excuse made Rei Ao chuckle.
Hayasaka Ai: "My lady's wishes are my mission, Admin. If you consent, I will take full responsibility for her safety."
Her message was crisp and decisivefull butler mode.
Marquis Voban really was a troublesome Campione, but to Rei Ao he was no more than a mantis to crush in passing.
Besides, bringing these girls might be entertaining:

Ahead, Ericaback turnedheld a longsword, facing Liliana.
"Erica, will you really set yourself against the entire world for that Heretic God?"
Liliana's voice was ice, her eyes razor sharp.
Before Erica could answer she sensed a familiar aura behind her.
She whirled around, joy blazing. "My King!"
Ignoring Liliana's caution, she sprinted to Rei Ao, dropped to one knee, and bowed her head.
"My King, you've finally come!"
Liliana's pupils shrank at the sudden twist.
Hand on her sword hilt, she studied the newcomers warily.
When she saw Rei Ao's trademark messy black hair and mismatched eyes, shock flashed across her facewhile most of her attention stayed on the strangers flanking him.
"Erica, who are they?" she asked, sweeping her gaze over Rei Ao and the four girls.
Kaguyaelegant in her bespoke dressgazed wide-eyed at the unfamiliar architecture and Erica's armor, equal parts astonished and curious.
"So this is another world?" she murmured, clutching the small handbag Ai had packed.
Julis was just as startled.
"There's no mana here, yet our power works how odd."
Tohka looked the most at ease. She sniffed the unfamiliar air and leaned toward Rei Ao.
"Rei Ao-kun, is this Erica's world? What do we do now?"
Rei Ao brushed off Liliana's vigilance with a casual glancethe way one might look at a pebblewhich made her heart tighten: the stare of an absolute superior.
His eyes soon drifted seaward, to the raging waves and terrifying energy where Athena and Voban were clashing.
"Stay here," he said calmly. "I'm going to take a look."
"My King, please be careful," Erica rose, worry filling her eyes. However powerful he was, she still worriedfor her King, her man.
"King?" Liliana stared at Rei Ao, then Erica. "You call him King? Could he be"
The seventh Campione sprang to mind. If Erica's King was truly a Campione, fear drained her face white.
Rei Ao offered no explanation. He simply nodded at Kaguya and the rest.
"Don't wander off."
A streak of lighthe vanished toward the sea.
Apocalypse over the waves
Athenagraceful, clad in white armorfloated mid-air, golden hair whipping in the gale. Three sets of eyespast, present, futureshone with divine light.
No weaponjust her divine flesh and Authorities.
Opposite: a tall elder in a black coatMarquis Voban. A blood-thirsty grin split his face, black mist of Authority swirling around him.
"Athena! Your era is overhand your power to me!" he roared, hurling his arm forward.
ROAR!
A wolf-shadow of crackling black lightning lunged at Athena with apocalyptic force.
Her gaze stayed serene; she flowed aside like water.
In the same heartbeat she flashed to Voban's flank, fingertips flaring gold
Authority of the Trinity: Sight of Time!
Invisible ripples spread. Voban's motions thickened, as though trapped in time-swampAthena's ability to warp time within a range.
"Trivial trick!" he snarled, black mist erupting. A giant wolf wreathed in flame burst free
time's shackles shattered. His left fist blasted out, the shockwave screaming through the air.
Their battle spanned kilometers.
Each clash birthed tsunami waves and heaven-shaking thunder.
Sea-spray vaporized to fog; clouds were ripped apart; the sky itself burned a sinister crimson.

Sakurajima Mai: "The visuals are intense. That woman's Athena, the Greek goddess of wisdom, right? She looks different from last time."
Rei Ao: "That's her at full power."

Kasuga Hijiri: "So who's winning?"
Saeko Busujima: "Voban's attacks are more brute-force; Athena's authorities are rule-based but she seems to lack stamina."
Saeko coolly dissected the battle.
Miyuki Shiba: "I guess that's the natural check between a Campione and a Heretic God."
Rei Ao watched the chat scroll by, a faint smile on his lips. He said nothing, simply observing the spectacle below like a theatergoer savoring a show.
The fight dragged on for nearly half an hour.
Steam had boiled the sea away, exposing black reef rock on the seabed.
Cracks ran across Athena's white armor; her breathing had grown ragged, and the glow in her three pairs of eyes was fading.
But Marquis Voban wasn't in much better shape. His overcoat was in tatters, his face lined with fatiguethough the madness in his eyes only burned brighter.
"Athena, your power is fading. Give up!"
He roared, gathering strength for the next strike.
In that instant, he felt a terrifying presence lock onto himvast, regal, irresistible, like the source of the cosmos itself. Even the oldest Campione felt his soul tremble.
He jerked his head upward.
At last he saw Rei Ao floating overhead.
"Who are you?"
Voban frowned, wary of this sudden young intruder. The danger rolling off Rei Ao was unmistakableand unmistakably that of a Campione. Worse, the aura was stronger than any he had ever faced.
"Interesting kid. You're a Campione too?"
Voban licked his lips, excitement and hostility flashing in his eyes.
"Why are you here? Planning to steal Athena's authority too?"
Rei Ao didn't answer. He drifted down beside Athena, not sparing Voban a glance. Casually, he slipped an arm around Athena's slender waist.
"Wrong. I'm not after her authorities"
He smirked. "I'm after the goddess herself."
Athena stiffened. Her golden eyes widened in disbelief.
Voban froze as wellthen burst into boisterous laughter.
"Haha! A Campione protecting a Heretic God? Falling in love with her? That's the funniest thing I've ever heard!"
At last Rei Ao looked at him. In those rainbow irises there was no emotion at allVoban felt like a corpse being appraised.
"Love her?"
Rei Ao's voice was soft, yet it carried perfectly.
"Call it what you like, but from this moment on, she's mine."
The statement left Voban stunnedand the distant spectators equally speechless.
Sakurajima Mai: "That's Rei Ao for youmoves fast."
Enju Aihara: "W-waah, Rei Ao-nii, I love you too! Make me your girl!"
Akame: "Enju, wipe your nose."
Julis: "The group owner's behavioral patterns exceed my comprehension."
Kaguya Shinomiya: "Utterly utterly shameless!"
Beside her, Ai Hayasaka silently offered a glass of water. "Please calm down, milady."
Athena finally found her voice. "You"
Voban's laughter died; his eyes twisted with malice.
"I don't care who you are or what you wantstand in my way and die! Athena is my prey. Her power is mine!"
A black mist erupted around him, ballooning into a colossal wolf shadow that blotted out the sky. Voban fused with it, becoming the Ragnarok WolfFenrirwhose skull alone spanned sixty meters, devouring all in its path.
"Behold the power of a Campione!"
The Fenrir lunged, fanged maw ready to swallow Rei Ao and Athena whole.
Athena's face went paleshe knew she couldn't stop this strike.
Rei Ao, however, remained perfectly calm. He did not even blink.

The Solar White Horse loosed a scream that shook heaven and earth, then shot toward the giant wolf as an immense golden comet.
There was no earth-shattering explosiononly a sheet of blinding white light that swallowed the battlefield.
Flames from the Solar White Horse swept out like a tsunami; the black fire vanished in an instant.
Fenrir's phantom gave a dying wail and dissolved in the brilliance.
Marquis Voban's eyes bulged, disbelief written across his face.
He tried to fight, to flee, but under the stallion's pressure his body was pinnedunable to budge an inch.
White fire devoured him in a flash.
In the final moment of consciousness he saw only Rei Ao's calm, rainbow-hued eyesand within themthe radiance of the sun.
"Shiek!"
The golden light dispersed. Dark clouds were swept from the sky.
Bright sunlight spilled across the sea as though the battle had never happened.
Waves lay still; energy ripples faded; only tranquility remained.
Erica, Liliana, Kaguya Shinomiya, Ai Hayasaka, Julis, and Tohka Yatogami all stared, dumbfoundedespecially Liliana, whose clenched hands trembled with pure terror and awe.
Erica gazed at Rei Ao's back with open adoration, eyes blazing with fanatic light.
"As expected, my king is invincible!"
Rei Ao gave a small wave; the golden flames about to touch the sea vanished, leaving the world unharmed.
He turned to Athena, a playful glint in his rainbow pupils.
"All rightthe nuisance is gone.
Shall we talk about our business now?"
Athena looked at the man before her.
