Her silver wings snapped wide, raising a gale fierce enough to topple trees.

She shot across the firmament like a meteor, racing toward her target.

Air torn by her speed cracked with sharp sonic booms.

Inside a human village

A warm scent filled a wooden hut.

Flickering candlelight threw intertwined shadows across the mottled walls.

Couronne slept peacefully, a rosy afterglow still on her cheeks, lips curved in a contented smile.

Rei Ao gently covered her with a thin blanket; his fingers brushed her delicate skin, leaving a trace of tenderness.

Rising to dress, his tousled black hair framed eyes that radiated a lazy, dangerous charm.

The air carried a faint, intoxicating mix of body scent and sweat.

"Highlevel entity approachingenergy spike extremely hazardous!"

Shuvi's voice burst out. Crimson light flashed in her eyes, fullbody scanners whirring at high frequency; metal joints hummed softly.

Interest flickered across Rei Ao's face.

He stroked Couronne's hair and kissed her brow. "Rest well," he whispered, then strode from the room with Shuvi at his side.

The door's creak rang harshly in the tense night.

Chaos had already seized the village square.

Children's whimpers tangled with adults' cries as all eyes turned skyward.

Riku clenched his fists so hard his nails nearly pierced his palms, his face white as paper.

"Why is she here?!"

One glance had told him everything: silver wings, that noble yet lethal auraundeniably a Flugel, among the very strongest of the world's sixteen sentient races.

And in this age before the Ten Covenants, Imanitythe weakest racestood utterly powerless against a Flugel.

The moment he saw Jibril, visions of bloodsoaked ground filled Riku's mind, and despair's chill flooded his heart.

Jibril hovered in the heights, looking down on the humans like ants, a contemptuous smile curling her lips.

Weak little Imanity

She had tracked demon traces here and felt their heavy residueproof they had been present.

Yet, bizarrely, only a human village remained; not a single demon in sight.

Humans held no interest for her.

Raising a hand, she gathered brilliancean orb of throbbing power coalesced in her palm.

"The stench of demons lingers. Since I can't find the ones who vanished, I'll vent on you instead."

She yawned lazily.

Wiping out a village was no harder than crushing a few insects.

Space around her warped; oppressive force thickened the air.

"Damn it" Riku shut his eyes as screams rose behind him.

The terror in that energy made his heart slam against his ribs.

A minor demon raid alone could ravage a villagewhat chance did they have against a Flugel?

The lightsphere struck.

BOOM!

A deafening blast. Flames roared skyward.

The shockwave ripped nearby trees from the earth.

Jibril turned to leavethen halted. She glanced back, puzzled.

"Hm?"

The village that should have been razed still stood, utterly unscathed.

Slowly she pivoted.

Her crimson eyes blazed like twin fires in the dark, locking onto Shuvi beside Rei Ao.

Her pupils tightened in a hunter's thrill.

"An ExMachina?"

Delight sparkled in her gaze.

Her wings flared; with a gust she dived.

Her speed was staggering, a silver afterimage streaking the air.

Dust spiraled into a miniature tornado beneath the pressure.

"Interestinga human village harboring an ExMachina. What secret dealings lie between you two?"

She assumed the machine had erased the demons.

Step by step she advanced, dangerous ripples radiating from her.

Electric snaps crackled in the air; pebbles leapt from the ground beneath her aura.

Sensing the threat, Shuvi snapped into combat mode.

Mechanical eyes blazed red; weapon systems silently unfolded.

"Target danger level: SSS. Immediate retreat advised."

Chapter 766: Heavenly Smite! Blade to Cut Down Gods!

Rei Ao stood absolutely motionless.

Of course he had recognized Jibril's identity.

The Flgel whom everyone else feared were, in his eyes, no more than mayflies.

Jibril seemed not to notice him and simply kept walking toward Shuvi.

The instant her hand was about to touch Shuvi, he struckswift as a hunting leopardclamping down on Jibril's wrist with perfect precision.

"Let go!"

Jibril's expression changed dramatically; she stared in disbelief at the human before her.

As a proud Flgel, she had never imagined a human would dare defy her!

She struggled with all her might, powerful energy surging through her body as she tried to break free.

Yet his grip felt like shackles of forged steelutterly unyielding.

Only then did she truly take stock of Rei Ao.

Those mysterious iridescent eyes and the barely perceptible but overwhelming aura around him silently proclaimed his extraordinary nature.

Rei Ao's gaze was calm, even playful, as though he were merely enjoying an amusing performance.

He chuckled, voice low and oppressive. "You disturbed methere must be a price."

Before the words had died away,

space suddenly twisted,

and the three figures vanished.

Riku and the villagers looked on in astonishment.

"Where did they go?"

When Jibril could see clearly again, she found herself in a barren wasteland of broken rock.

The sky was an eerie dark red, as though soaked in blood, and the ground was laced with cracks like an enormous spiderweb.

A desolate ruin left in the wake of war.

Not a trace of life existed here; only a howling wind that whipped up stinging clouds of dust.

"I'll give you one chance to resist," Rei Ao said, arms folded, a mocking smile on his lips.

"Fail, and you'll accept your punishment quietly."

His voice echoed across the empty waste, brooking no dispute.

"Ha. Who do you think you arejust a lowly human!"

First time insulted by such a feeble race, Jibril laughed in seething fury.

Her wings flared wide.

A tidal wave of energy swept outward; sand and stone exploded into the air.

"Arrogant humanbehold the true power of the Flgel!"

She flickered, reappearing behind Rei Ao in an instant.

A blade of light, cold and gleaming, formed in her hand and slashed toward his neck.

The strike carried her rage; even the surrounding space warped in its path.

Rei Ao neither dodged nor flinched. He raised a hand and closed his fingers gentlythe light blade dissolved into nothing.

Jibril's pupils contracted; a chill ran through her, yet her warrior's instinct kept her from retreating.

She unleashed a barrage of attacks, dazzling magics pouring down like a storm:

searing fireballs, razor wind, lethal lightning

With casual waves of his hands, each tremendous spell unraveled the moment it touched him, scattering into motes of starlight.

Every failed spell struck Jibril's spirit like a hammer, making her doubt what this "human" truly was.

"Impossible how can this be"

Breath ragged, she fell back, sweat beading on her brow, chest heaving.

Never had she faced such a formidable opponent

not even in battles among the Flgel.

"You're not a human, are you? Then?"

A terrifying thought crossed her mind; her eyes narrowed.

Old Deus?

Yet the possibility did not daunt her; instead, wild battle lust blazed in her gaze.

"OldDeus, hm? My very existence is toslay gods!"

Flgel: sixth in the hierarchy of the Sixteen Races, marked by halos above their heads and wings at their lower backs. The halo has many uses and forms.

They were created by Artosh, the War God who feeds on battle lust, hatred, malice, and blood.

He cared nothing for desire, emotion, authority, or wealthonly combat, especially against the strong.

He created the Flgel solely to birth one cataclysmic battle after another.

Thus the Flgel, like the ExMachina, were forged as godslayers

"blades to cut down gods,"

born to offer the One True God's throne to Artosh.

A glance from a Flgel can plant the illusion of death in a weaker mind, and their thirst for battle is insatiable.

So when they encounter a being they deem a god,

though Rei Ao was not OldDeus, Jibril, convinced he was, resolved to use her full powerHeavenly Smite!

The sky flared molten gold; within the clouds, a force fierce enough to tear space itself gathered.

Jibril's wings blazed like twin suns. Yet her face turned deathly pale from overexertion; blood trickled from the corner of her mouth.

"Die!"

She screamed, summoning a colossal pillar of energy that crashed from the heavens.

Space warped and shrieked beneath its passage.

This was her all, the battle for her Flgel pride.

And yet

"Ah."

Rei Ao simply reached out and closed his hand.

Timespaceenergyeverything froze.

The Heavenly Smite, potent enough to vaporize seas, shattered inch by inch in his grasp.

"Hhow is this ppossible?!"

Jibril's eyes were wide with utter disbelief.

One of her strongest attacks, undone as if it were nothing!

Dizziness washed over hershe had exhausted her strength.

Rei Ao stepped forward and in a blink appeared behind her, drawing her into a tight embrace.

Before Jibril could react, his body was pressed against hers.

She struggled desperately, but an unseen shackle bound her magicshe could not resist.

Rei Ao's kiss was fiercely possessive, as though he meant to devour her whole.

The conflicting sensations stirred emotions in her she had never known.

"You've lost," he whispered, voice a seductive spell, his breath hot against her ear.

Chapter 767: Tohka's Descend!

"Those who lose must pay the price."

Rei Ao's hands began to rip at Jibril's battle armor, every movement brimming with raw strength and overbearing intent.

Amid the desolate wasteland, Jibril stared at the man before her in stunned disbelief, while Shuvi stood quietly to one side, dutifully recording everything.

The frequency of the glow in Shuvi's eyes accelerated, converting this fierce struggle into streams of complex data that were immediately stored in her core.

"Reproductive interaction identical to CouronneRecording."

Jibril felt her dignity being torn apart piece by piece, yet deep within her stirred a nameless, unsettling thrill.

This sudden encounter had not only upended her view of the human race, it also sent unprecedented ripples through her proud heart.

With Rei Ao's relentless motions, pieces of armor shattered away, exposing flawless white skin.

A howling wind swept past, lifting her long hair and sending it flying wildly in the air.

She had never imagined herself reduced to such a state.

As a proud Flugel, she had always looked down on every other raceyet now a mere human treated her like this?

Humiliation burned within her, but the overwhelming aura radiating from Rei Ao left her unable to resist.

"Yyouvile human!"

She ground her teeth, but as the loser she could only let Rei Ao handle her suspended in midair.

Shuvi remained motionless at the side, mechanical eyes faithfully logging every detail.

To her, the interaction between Rei Ao and Jibril was a contradictory data setviolent confrontation intertwined with intimate contact, overwhelming power juxtaposed with fragile emotiondata that battered her core and expanded her understanding of humanity.

On that barren desert plain, time itself seemed to stop.

Silhouetted against the dying sunlight, Rei Ao and Jibril tangled together, forming a strange yet tensionfilled tableau.

Jibril's resistance gradually weakened; her mind grew hazy, awash in anger, shame, and that inexplicable excitement.

With sheer dominance, Rei Ao completely overturned her perception of humankind.

Spirit World

Elsewhere, Tohka Yatogami still slumbered in the void, her waking thoughts focused on the chatgroup's messages. Today had promised to be as uneventful as usual

"Hm? Who's there?"

Her attention snapped back as ripples spread across the emptiness in front of her like disturbances on water.

A blurred figure surfaced in the void and vanished again in an instant. Before Tohka could see the person's face, an irresistible force coiled around her body.

"Wwait!"

Her protest was swallowed by a spatial rift. The world twisted and shattered before her eyes, then reformed in an entirely new shape.

Vertigo washed over her. When her vision finally steadied, she found herself staring up at a vast blue sky blazing with sunlight.

"That's the sun?"

Instinctively she raised a hand to shield her eyes, yet she could not help peeking through her fingers at a sight unknown in the spirit realm.

Warm light bathed her skin; a gentle breeze brushed her cheeks, carrying the scent of grass and blossoms.

She was standing on an open meadow, with dense clusters of human buildings in the distance.

Drawing a long breath, she murmured in amazement:

"This is the real world?!"

Shewho had been in the spirit realm only moments agowas now in the mortal world, alive with vigor unlike any realm she had known.

"Is this the world Rei Ao spoke of?"

She glanced at her ornate Astral Dressa skirted cuirass of purple and silver that shimmered in the sun.

The tranquility did not last.

"Pyuu! Pyuu! Pyuu!"

Shrill alarms split the sky.

Alert, Tohka looked up. Dark specks hurtled toward her from the city. As they drew nearer she recognized armored human females in specialized mechanical suits, weapons at the ready. Leading them was a silverhaired girl whose icy gaze could freeze steel.

"Spirit identification code 'Princess' confirmedtarget acquired."

Origami Tobiichi's calm report crackled over her communicator, ASTissue CRUnit armor gleaming coldly in the sunlight.

"All units: the target did not cause a spacequake, but that does not mean it poses no threat. Proceed with standard expulsion protocol."

"Enemies"

Frowning, Tohka summoned Sandalphon.

The immense violet greatsword, symbol of her power, glimmered faintly along its blade.

"Who are you? Why attack me?"

Her voice rang across the empty field. Origami offered no answershe simply raised her laser cannon and gave the order:

"Open fire."

Dozens of beams and live shells screamed toward Tohka, rending the air with shrill howls.
