Takumi made careful plans, copying Heaven and its system in perfect detail. When everything was finished, he returned to the villa.
By then, Gabriel and the other angels were chatting with each other. When Takumi returned and saw this, he immediately spoke up:
"Let's go. I'll take you over first so you can see if there's anything you want changed. And by the way, I'll get your IDs ready."
A smile appeared on Takumi's face. Anyone coming into his world needed to have an IDotherwise, what kind of order would that be?
The angels were surprised.
"You've finished already?"
Hadn't Takumi just left a moment ago?
"Of course! It's just a one-to-one reproduction, after all. Maybe I missed some details, but you'll have to handle those yourselves."
With that, Takumi opened a spatial portal and stepped through. Gabriel hurried after him, as did Lilia and Ophis.
Passing through Takumi's portal, the group soon arrived at the newly created Heaven.
Seeing this familiar place, the angels' eyes lit up. They'd worried that living in another world might feel strange, but seeing the familiar buildings, all their worries vanished. Gabriel, in particular, was amazed.
"Mr. Takumi, you even replicated the system?"
She was stunnedshe could sense the system's presence here.
"Of course! There's even the Angel Reincarnation Pool. From now on, just focus on your original duties: gather faith. It's not much use to me personally, but you never know when it might come in handy."
That was why Takumi set up Heaven's system: to collect faith. It might prove useful someday.
Gabriel's eyes lit up.
"Leave it to us!"
Collecting faith was what they did best.
"Alright, I won't bother you anymore. Get settled in. Oh, righthere."
Takumi glanced at the assembled angels. He had all their names in mind. With a thought, he conjured up a stack of ID cards out of thin air, as well as some local devices. He even loaded some money into their accounts so they could buy whatever they needed.
"These are your identification cards and terminals. There's an AI inside that'll teach you how to use them. And there's some money in there too, so you can shop if you want."
The angels nodded. They understood perfectly.
"Thank you, Mr. Takumi! We know what to do."
Gabriel responded immediately, both grateful and curious. Today was their first time experiencing another world. She wondered what her people would become here. And in this world, there was no need to worry about falling into corruption.
Gabriel could sense that after arriving here, many things had become fixedsuch as their race. An angel was always an angel; there was no such thing as a fallen angel. Not unless someone went out of their way to make it happen. Otherwise, corruption was impossible.
Gabriel was seriousthis was real. So many new things were waiting to be explored in this world.
After explaining all this, Takumi turned to Lilia.
"Want to have a look around? This is a perfect one-to-one replica of Heaven from another world."
Lilia nodded immediately.
"I do!"
She was very curious and decided to stay and look around before going home.
Takumi nodded, then continued:
"Ophis, I'll leave things to you for now. I've got some things to handle. I'll be back later."
Takumi still had plenty to dolike turning the moon into a giant server, or dealing with all those evil god corpses in his imaginary space.
"Alright!"
Lilia had no problem with that. Even though she'd just met Ophis, she sensed Ophis would be easy to get along with. Lilia herself had changed a lot, too. In the past, the sight of Ophis or the angels would have made her see them as threats to be eliminated. But not anymore. Takumi's guidance had worked.
After a word of farewell, Takumi disappeared.
Back in his own world, Takumi headed straight for the moon. With the power of space, he arrived in the blink of an eye.
He scanned the moon's surface. When humans still existed in this world, they'd explored herethere were even some flags, remnants of their visits. There were also a few abandoned lunar rovers. As Takumi sensed everything on the moon, a wave of emotion washed through him.
The revival of spiritual energy can be both good and bad, depending on the world. But in this one, humanity couldn't handle the evolution. In the end, they lost to the magical beasts. All that's left is a bit of regret. When spiritual energy revived, the law of the jungle ruled absolutelyand this time, humanity lost.
Chapter 97: Are These Fireworks Beautiful?
Takumi wasn't a person of this world.
He could only sigh at what had become of its people. Although he could reset the world, Takumi had never chosen to do so. Instead, he preferred to handpick the people he wanted from other worlds. If you reset an entire world, the people in it wouldn't accept you. Worse, all sorts of trouble might arise. Takumi didn't want that.
If that's the case, it was better to create a whole new world from scratch. As long as humans still existed, it didn't matter where they came fromwho cared whether they were this world's original people or not? Maybe, in the future, Takumi could even create a Valhalla, bringing back some of the departed as heroic spirits. But true resurrection? Forget it.
After surveying the moon, Takumi got to work.
He landed directly on the lunar surface and activated his authority. Instantly, his power enveloped the entire moon, and the inside began to transform. Using the Herrscher of Reason's authority, Takumi began to reshape the moon. Anything useless was tossed down to Earth. Passing through the atmosphere, those things would fall as meteors.
For now, no one could see itnight hadn't fallen yet. When those objects reached the ground, it would be nighttime. Consider it Takumi's way of putting on a fireworks show for everyone.
In Takumi's world, there was no industrial pollution. Even the pollution left behind by humanity had been purified by the resurgence of spiritual energy. That's why, on cloudless nights, you could see the stars in space as clear as day.
By throwing things from the moon, Takumi was sure that night would see an impressive meteor shower. Remodeling the entire moon was no small project, but the most troublesome part was building the server system. For power, Takumi simply used Honkai energyafter all, there was no magic in his world. Honkai energy or solar energy, either one worked fine.
Turning the moon into a server might sound crazy, but Takumi could do it with ease now. He worked until night fell on Earth before finally finishing. The moon's appearance hadn't changed, but its interior was completely different. Now, the moon was basically just a shellTakumi had installed the server system he brought back from the exe world right inside.
Standing inside the humming, blue-lit server core, Takumi felt thoroughly satisfied. He snapped a photo and sent it to the group chat.
Takumi: [Image] [Moon Server~!] [No more lag in games~! Billions can play together, no problem.]
As soon as Takumi posted the massive sight, everyone in the chat was shocked.
Kaguya Houraisan: [!!!!] [Give me one!!] [I hate laggy games.] [I'll PayPal you 50.]
Takumi: [You wish!] [You think you can buy a whole moon for 50?]
Seriously, how could you think that? The entire moon had been remodeled!
Sagiri: [The moon??]
Chika Fujiwara: [What did you say? The moon???]
Himeko: [Huh? You turned the moon into a server?]
That was certainly extravagantnot something simple at all. Just how much space did it take to turn the entire moon into a server? Was Takumi planning to store data for the whole galaxy?
Bronya: [If only our world had such a server!!!]
As the boss of a game company, Bronya felt nothing but envy. The laptop Takumi had given her was already beyond compare, and now he'd turned the moon into a server?
Takumi: [Yep, it's technology I got from the exe world.] [Anyone want mechanical ascension? I can make it happen now~!] [Let's just fast-forward to Cyberpunk!!]
Kusanagi Suoh: [Unbelievable I'm speechless.]
Anyone from a modern world would know how crazy Takumi's move was. It was truly on another scalethe power of a group member, indeed.
Megumi Kato: [Is it really okay for my first day in the chat to see this?]
This was already beyond her comprehension. Wasn't Takumi just making things hard for a high school JK girl like her?
Takumi: [No, I just wanted to show off!] [@Miori Shiba @Yuu, remember to watch the meteor shower tonight.] [I dropped a lot of stuff from the moon.]
Takumi chatted happily in the group while reminding Yuu and Miori Shiba to watch the meteor shower.
Miori Shiba: [Image] [So this was your doing, right?]
The picture showed a sky filled with meteor showers, blazing trails of light across the heavens. In Miori Shiba's photo, a group of young girls sat together, pointing and shouting excitedly at the falling stars. It was a truly beautiful scene.
Takumi: [I just tossed some things down. No big deal~!] [So, did you like the fireworks?] [(????)??]
Miori Shiba: [(?_?)] [It's pretty, but it was so sudden.] [Anyone who didn't know better would think something terrible happened.]
She was speechless. Even if you're putting on fireworks, at least give us some warning! She thought it was another spiritual energy revival or something. After all, their world had that kind of historyspiritual energy revived, humanity was wiped out. And now Takumi was creating a meteor shower. How could she not worry?
It was just one of Takumi's little whims. Couldn't he try not to be so scary?
Miori Shiba was completely exasperated.
Takumi: [What could possibly happen in my world? Don't make a fuss~!] [Oh, by the way, we've got angels now. If you see any, don't panic.] [If you see one, just relax!]
Thinking of that, Takumi explained about Gabriel and the others.
Miori Shiba: [Already guessed as much.]
Takumi had said he would bring angels back, so now that he'd arrived home, of course the angels had come too. Nothing could surprise her anymore. In fact, she figured the others wouldn't be shocked either. They were all from another world, after all, and with Takumi's ability to travel, everyone was starting to wonder if more races would come in the future. No need to be surprised.
Raiden Mei: [I'm here!!] [@Takumi, are you back yet?]
At that moment, Mei joined the chat. Seeing her message, Takumi raised an eyebrow. Was this a request for help? Was it about to start over there? No, if that were the case, Mei wouldn't sound so casual.
Chapter 98: Whatever, Ill Step In!
Takumi: [@Raiden Mei, I'm back.] [What's up, Chef Mei?]
Bronya: [What's up, Chef Mei?]
Sagiri: [What's up, Chef Mei?]
Chika Fujiwara: [Submit to me, pots and pans |O| awooo~~]
Sagiri: [Roar, pressure cooker!!]
Raiden Mei: [!!!!] [Enough, you all!!]
What kind of people were these? Mei, sitting in her room, saw the messages and sparks almost leapt from her body. But she quickly regained control, and the purple light in her eyes flashed and vanished. Mei was now steadily mastering the Herrscher of Thunder's power. The bomb in her body had even been removedthat was her progress so far.
Takumi had taught her a lot. The Herrscher personality had completely merged with her. Now, she was a perfect Herrscher. When Theresa learned about it, she'd been totally stunned. But once she confirmed Mei was okay, she helped remove the bomb. While Takumi was in the DxD world, a lot had happened here too.
Now that Takumi was back, Mei naturally had questions. But what did she get?
Everyone was calling her Chef Mei again! Was this meme never going to die? When would she, Raiden Mei, finally get her dignity back?
Takumi: [Mei, did you need something?]
Takumi grinned as he watched the group chat. Everyone had too much free time.
Mei, seeing Takumi's reply, was even more exasperated.
Raiden Mei: [It's nothing. I just wanted to ask.]
Takumi: [Oh, I thought things were about to start over there.] [That's all?]
Takumi was a little speechless. He thought Mei needed something important. But this?
Raiden Mei: [.....] [Nothing's started yet. I've fully mastered the Herrscher of Thunder's power. Theresa has me training Kiana now...]
Though frustrated, Mei explained the situation to Takumi. She had no idea how to handle Kiana's caseit was much trickier. Kiana was both the real Kiana's clone and a continuation of the Second Herrscher, Sirin. Sirin was still inside her. Training Kiana to master the Herrscher of the Void's power and take control would be difficult.
Otto had done so much, and Himeko's final sacrifice had helped Kiana grow. But Mei wasn't good at this sort of thing. All she could do was help Kiana train to control Honkai energy. Still, she doubted it would be enough to suppress Sirin.
Next time Sirin awakened, they'd probably fight again. But Mei was no longer afraidshe wasn't the person she once was. Knowing the future, she'd grown a lot. She wouldn't accept that kind of ending.
Her future was in her own hands! With that conviction, Mei was able to fully merge with the Herrscher of Thunder and master its core.
Takumi was amazed by Mei's progress.
Takumi: [That's really great. As for Kiana things are complicated! But you could just extract Sirin's personality and build her a new body.]
Takumi suggested. Kiana, Mei, Bronya, and Seele were all stand users. And so was Fu Hua. Kiana's stand was Sirin. Mei's was Herself. Bronya's was Project Bunny. Seele's was Black Seele. Fu Hua's was the great Herrscher of Sentience.
Mei was speechless at Takumi's suggestion.
Raiden Mei: [How could I possibly do that!!]
No wayshe couldn't separate personalities like that.
Chika Fujiwara: [The great Herrscher of Sentience believes you need help and has submitted a support request!]
Takumi: [Exactly, the great Herrscher of Sentience can do the separation. Then Bronya, with her driver's license, can build a new body. It's just carbon-based lifeno problem! So, Mei, shout it out!]
Sagiri: [Answer my call, great Herrscher of Sentience!!]
Bronya: [Image] [Bronya with a license says she can't do it!]
Takumi: [I wasn't talking about you, Big Duck~!!!]
Bronya: [(???) ]
...
Raiden Mei: [Cut it out, the Herrscher of Sentience hasn't shown up yet.]
Honestly, these silly groupmatesnone of their suggestions were helpful!
Chika Fujiwara: [Actually, Mei, I think you should just join World Serpent! Why not go ask the almighty Snake in the Elysian Realm?]
Takumi: [Like a mouse delivered right to Snakehe'll be thrilled!!]
