"We should build proper schools too. The 227 Academy project should be restarted."

"Some of the curriculums need reworking. There's no history to study here anyway, so we may as well focus on magic and combat training."

"Right now, even though the schools are open, they only teach basic general subjects."

Miori stroked her chin, voicing her thoughts.

She believed it was time to put these changes on the agenda.

Takumi nodded in agreement.

"Alright! That's not a problem. We'll include magic and esper courses."

"They can be taught together. Even people with esper abilities can learn magic."

"The rules of our world have already changed. Everyone's energy has turned into Honkai energy, which can substitute for mana and spiritual force."

"Those who study magic will first undergo an esper awakening, then choose a path based on their attributes."

"You, for example, can easily learn wind-type magic."

"As for instructors... Lilia, get me some teachers from Velier."

Takumi fully supported this idea and had a plan in mind right away.

With so many people now living here, finding a few magic instructors shouldn't be difficult. Velier alone had billions of residents and a relatively complete educational structure.

Sending for magic instructors from there was the most efficient move.

Lilia nodded in acknowledgment.

"I'll send Ariel."

After a moment's thought, she added, "Kris would work too."

Kris, the strongest Magical Armor Girl and Ariel's own teacher, had already been freed from her curse. Though Velier had moved over, Kris remained with the cursed children, helping care for them.

Since she wasn't busy, why not have her take on the role of magic teacher?

Takumi nodded.

"Good. Also, study the magic system I brought back from High School DxD. If anything's unclear, I'll ask Gabriel to assist."

"There are quite a few similarities between systems. You should be able to grasp it without much trouble."

"Magicdifferent paths, same destination."

As he spoke, Takumi started working.

He hadn't touched the satellite server above yet. But since they were discussing these topics, it was the perfect time to upload everything he had.

With that in mind, he got to work.

First, he cut the internet briefly.

For about a second, everyone noticed the network blinked, lagged slightly, then recovered.

No one gave it much thought and simply continued with their day.

With the network rerouted, Takumi began transferring all his stored data to the moon.

Everything he had collected in his mind went up onto the lunar server.

A flood of data began uploading.

No one, apart from those in Takumi's immediate vicinity, had any clue what was going on.

He hadn't announced anything yet.

While uploading the data, Takumi turned to Lilia and the Holy Maiden.

"You two, handle this."

"Lilia, arrange for teacher recruitment. Make sure they're familiarized with the other world's magic system."

"Holy Maiden, prepare the schools. I remember we reserved several large campuses. Put them all to use."

"If that's not enough, build more."

Takumi detailed their responsibilities, and both women nodded in agreement.

No problemthey'd take care of it.

"One more thing," Miori said, "Some people want to start developing the outer cities. They're planning to build farms and grow food."

"Also, what about the magical beasts roaming outside? Do we need to intervene?"

She brought up the growing interest in developing land for agriculture. With the world stabilizing, many had begun setting up businesses. Naturally, some now wanted to lease land and start farming.

"No need to interfere."

"They'll need to hire labor and machinery. Let them work it out themselves. Doesn't matter to me."

Takumi waved dismissively.

Want to farm?

No issue.

He'd built ports into the city too. If someone wanted to go fishing instead of farming, that was fine as well.

Miori nodded.

"Got it. I understand. Then I'll give my father the go-ahead to open his heavy industry factory."

Her father had been looking for business opportunities. In the end, he decided to return to his roots.

"Your dad wants to open a factory?"

"Hmm... Sure, let him. Ships, or even spacecrafteither is fine."

"We'll grant him access to some of our tech. He can begin production, hire workers, and get familiar with the systems."

"Eventually, we may expand into the entire galaxy."

Takumi glanced at Miori.

If her father was eager to build, so be it.

They could even authorize him to manufacture spaceships.

As long as he could understand and apply the technology.

Shiba Heavy Industries had brought a lot of researchers along.

Aside from managers, their main strength was in technical personnel.

Though many of them had already been reassigned by Takumi to other departments.

Still, if they wanted to revive their heavy industry division, they were free to do so.

They could settle it internally.

Chapter 102: Ophis Wants to Become My Companion Honkai Beast?

Takumi didn't involve himself too deeply in this world's development. He merely set goals.

At the current stage, the most important objective was resolving the population issueand digesting all the technology and knowledge Takumi had brought back.

In terms of population, the number of people working in science and technology was still quite small.

While Velier had plenty of people, most of them relied on magic. So, Takumi now needed to nurture scientific talent.

More precisely, he needed to go poach some from other worlds.

The Star Rail universe probably had plenty of mid— to low-level researchers.

Of course, if he could get top-tier talent, that would be even better.

Takumi could easily use his own power to disseminate all technological knowledge instantly.

But then what would everyone else do?

If he handled everything himself, wouldn't he be single-handedly dragging an entire civilization forward?

That wasn't what Takumi wanted.

He wanted people to move forward with himnot to rely solely on him.

If that were the case, he might as well just build an army of robots and let them rapidly develop everything.

Use resources, spawn units, done. Simple.

Everyone stayed around Takumi for a while longer, then eventually left.

After seeing them off, Takumi turned to Ophis.

"Ophis, where do you want to live? With me? Or would you prefer your own villa?"

Ophis blinked at the question, then replied,

"I want to live in the dimensional gap."

Live with Takumi? Hmm... she felt she might be more at ease living in the dimensional rift of this world.

Takumi raised an eyebrow.

"This world's dimensional gap? I haven't explored that place yet."

He stroked his chin thoughtfully.

What kind of dimensional rift did this world have?

If Ophis really wanted to stay there, it'd be best if Takumi checked it out first.

"Alright," he said, "Tomorrow I'll go take a look with you. Just stay here tonight."

Ophis considered this and nodded.

"Okay."

She wasn't sure what the dimensional rift here was like, but if Takumi accompanied her tomorrow, that would be best.

With that decided, Takumi prepared a room for her and sent her off to bathe and rest.

Ophis could handle her physical needs just fine.

She was obedient and did whatever Takumi told her.

She trusted him completely. After all, Takumi had fulfilled every promise he made.

He said he would beat up Great Redand he did.

No hesitation.

So, when Takumi told her to rest, Ophis quietly went to sleep.

However, that night, she heard some strange noises.

It sounded like Lilia was... crying?

Ophis found it oddand slightly awkward.

She didn't quite understand what that reaction meant, which made her frown.

Still, she decided not to interfere. Perhaps Takumi and Lilia were engaged in something important.

With that, she muted all her senses and went back to sleep.

The next morning, Takumi was refreshed.

Lilia, too, looked more spirited than ever.

Ophis noticed that Lilia seemed even livelier than the day before.

How strange.

Takumi casually made some breakfast, then said to Ophis,

"Let's go. We're checking out the dimensional rift."

With that, he opened a portal to the space beyond this world.

Ophis immediately followed.

Lilia stayed behind.

For her, a place like that was still too dangerous. Better to stay home and handle arrangements.

She would also coordinate sending instructors to Takumi's side.

Takumi and Ophis quickly arrived outside the world.

"This place really is different from your world's dimensional gap," Takumi noted.

The spatial storms here were wild and chaotic.

Without spatial authority, anyone stepping into this place would likely be torn apart instantly.

But Ophis's eyes lit up.

Here, she felt an unparalleled sense of peace.

Even more so than the dimensional gap of the DxD world.

"This place... feels wonderful."

Ophis was enchanted.

At a glance, she fell in love with her new home.

Takumi raised an eyebrow.

"You sure this is okay?"

To Takumi, the environment was harsh.

But to Ophis, it was apparently just right?

"No problem. I love it here."

With that, Ophis returned to her original forma giant black dragon.

Her body rapidly expanded, soon growing to hundreds of meters in length.

An enormous being.

As she transformed, Takumi noticed something surprising.

The spatial storms around them began to stabilize.

Not only that, but Takumi could feel Ophis forming a connection with this dimensional gap.

It was accepting her.

And more than thatTakumi himself began to change.

He and Ophis were forming a special bond.

It was as if she were becoming his familiar!

Just like how 227 Sirin bonded with Bebelung!

Takumi's eyes lit up.

Was this it? Was he finally getting his own companion Honkai beast?

If their connection solidified, Takumi would be able to summon Ophis even from across worlds.

Ophis felt the same changes.

But she didn't resist.

Becoming Takumi's familiar?

That was fine by her.

She allowed the bond to take shape.

Moreover, she realized this bond came with great benefits.

Her internal power conversion accelerated. At this rate, her energy would soon fully convert into Honkai energy.

Now in her dragon form, Ophis floated freely in the dimensional gap.

Takumi watched her and let out a silent sigh.

Yup. She just wanted a comfy place to loaf around.

"If you like it here, then stay. Once our contract is complete, I'll call on you when needed."

Ophis nodded her massive dragon head.

"Okay! From now on, I shall protect this world for you!"

She meant it.

Takumi had given her peaceand she would protect his world in return.

Chapter 103: This Isn't Exaggerated at All!!

Takumi laughed when he heard Ophis's declaration.

"Good! Then I'll leave this place to you from now on. If anything happens, contact me immediately."

Their contract allowed communication regardless of distance. If anything were to enter this place, Ophis would likely be the first to know.

Having Ophis stationed here was actually a great idea.

With that, the two solidified their agreement.

Takumi didn't return right away. Instead, he and Ophis wandered together through the dimensional rift.

Takumi used his authority to carefully sense the structure of this world's dimensional gap. As for what lay beyond ithe wasn't sure. Likely just a sea of nothingness.

If he wanted to explore the infinite dimensions beyond, he would have to drift through them endlessly.

Just like floating alone through the universe.

Out there, time and space had no meaning. One might feel as though they were standing still, unable to perceive any motion.

Only upon encountering a new world would one finally feel any shift.

But even then, approaching such a world meant confronting its world barrier.

To enter, one needed to find a crack in the membrane.

If it wasn't a particularly strong world, you could barge right in.

But if it was a powerful world, rushing in might just mean death.

Searching for other worlds in the endless void was a daunting task.

Without a method of interdimensional navigation, it was better not to even try.

Rather than wandering aimlessly, Takumi figured it made more sense to examine the area surrounding his current world.

He circled the world membrane and soon spotted a fissure.

This was the entrance to the outside.

Peering through it, Takumi saw something terrifying.

He and Ophis stood at the threshold, stunned by the chaotic scene beyond.

Out thereit was wild. Anyone without strength would be shredded instantly.

Still, Takumi didn't sense any immediate threat.

He studied the crack carefully and frowned.

There were faint traces of residual energy.

Had someone come through here before and entered this world?

The realization made Takumi uneasy.

"Has this world already been marked?"

The lingering aura wasn't nativeit came from another world entirely.

Was the spiritual energy resurgence the result of interference from another dimension?

Whatever the cause, this revelation set Takumi on high alert.

"Ophis! I'll need you to watch this place carefully. If anyone comes through, notify me immediately."

"Understood," Ophis replied with a nod.

Just keeping an eye on the areathat was easy.

After issuing his instructions, Takumi took a moment to think.

Then he unleashed his power to create a massive seal around the rift.

He even deployed weaponry from the EXE worldall aimed at the crack.

Each was capable of destroying an entire planet.

This was his way of protecting the gate to his world.

Once everything was in place, Takumi nodded in satisfaction.

He snapped a photo and posted it to the group chat.

Takumi: [Image] [Planet-Buster Alert!]

The image showed the void, the thick membrane of the world, and an array of colossal weapons aimed at a gaping fissure.

Layered over that were massive sealing magic circles.

And countless star-destroying cannons.

The group chat instantly exploded.

Miori Shiba: [?????] [What is this? Where are you now?]

What the hellwas this even their world anymore?

What was Takumi doing deploying so many weapons?

Was there going to be a war?

Was a major enemy approaching?

Chika Fujiwara: [Isn't this a bit excessive??]
