"Oh, is that so?" Raphiel replied, clearly uninterested in Satania's boasting. Smiling warmly, she invited them inside.
"Where's Gabriel?" Vignette asked after setting down the groceries.
Raphiel glanced helplessly at Gabriel's closed bedroom door.
"She's probably tired let's start cooking first. We'll call her later."
Gabriel's current state left Raphiel deeply troubled.
The once-radiant angel had fully embraced her fallen nature. She now spent nearly all her time in her room, leaving only for meals, bathroom breaks, or showers. Her halo, once a shining beacon, was now pitch black.
Whenever Raphiel commented on it, Gabriel would simply take it off, wipe it clean, and say, "See? It's fine now," as the dark halo would momentarily glow faintly.
