He was even stronger now.
Back at home, Miori Shiba had already prepared dinner, and everyone else was thereBronya, Fujiwara Chika, and others.
"So, you're all here?"
Takumi was a bit surprised.
"Of course!"
"We came to see Mioriand for dinner."
Takumi rolled his eyes.
"Have you reported to school yet?"
"Can you handle the classes here?"
"If you don't understand something, just go to Aincrad and train. Today, I've already incorporated Loki's blessing system there."
Takumi sat down and chatted with the new exchange students about these things.
If they couldn't keep up academically, they could just head into Aincrad to train and learn through the system.
Everyone blinked.
"That's what we're planning."
"To be honest, all those theoretical lessons have us really confused, so we're just going to focus on the basics first, then go for hands-on training."
Even though their grades were good, when it came to learning magic, it was pretty tough.
Most students at the school started with the basics before moving on to real combat practice.
Takumi nodded.
"Yeah, that works too."
Honestly, it might really be a challenge for them, since they were starting from zero.
After thinking for a moment, Takumi continued,
"Or, you could just buy some basic magic knowledge in the group shop."
"That would save you from having to study so much, and you could jump right into combat."
That would be even faster.
Those magic knowledge packs only cost a few hundred points anyway.
Fujiwara Chika froze.
"Oh, right!!"
"How did I forget there's a chat group store? And you've uploaded stuff there!"
"We've all got points now!!"
Chika was amazedhow did she forget about this?
She immediately opened the group chat and bought the knowledge she needed.
So did everyone else.
"So, tomorrow, we go train in Aincrad?"
After buying what she needed, Asuna looked at everyone else.
Just thinking about returning to that place
It felt like revisiting the old scene from the game.
"I'm fine with that!"
"Let's just go."
Chika was overjoyedthis way, they'd save a lot of time.
All they had to do was focus on training.
"The more time we save, the better."
"That's the best plan."
"Try to gain as much power as you can during summer break."
"Otherwise, you won't be able to participate in the next round of missions!"
Takumi shrugged.
The regular folks in the group were still too weak.
Their summer break wouldn't last forever.
Chapter 202: You Didnt Even Know She Had a Holy Sword?
Everyone came to Takumi's place for one main reasonto improve their combat abilities. So Takumi thought, the faster they could get stronger, the better. Within just one summer break, the goal was to boost everyone's fighting power to its peak.
After deciding this, the group started chatting. Naturally, the conversation shifted to weapons.
"Takumi, do you think we should get magic wands or something?"
"If I'm a mage, shouldn't I have a staff?"
"And Asuna needs a sword too."
Fujiwara Chika glanced at Takumi. Did mages really need weapons?
"Just ask Ais. Let them forge something for you over there," Takumi replied, rolling his eyes.
"Use your points to buy from her and have her ask Hephaestus to craft it. It'll be as good as a divine artifact. That's plenty for you to use."
"If that doesn't work, you can go to the old man, too. It's just a weaponnot a big deal. Just send your design sketches over."
Was it really so hard to get a weapon? Just ask someone from the other side!
"Umm weapons from Ais's world?"
"To be honest, if possible, I'd rather have a Noble Phantasm!"
Fujiwara Chika tilted her head, suddenly remembering Sakura, who had just joined the group. The thought of having a Noble Phantasm made her eyes light up. Wouldn't that be way better?
"Don't even think about it," Takumi said, laughing.
"Noble Phantasms aren't suited for you guys. Besides, if you want one, you'd have to steal it. All those Heroic Spirits' Noble Phantasms are custom-made. Even if you tried, you wouldn't be able to get one. You'd be better off having someone make a custom weapon for you."
Takumi chuckled at her wishful thinking.
You want a Noble Phantasm? What a joke. They just aren't made for you.
Sure, Noble Phantasms have all sorts of effects, but they consume a lot, too.
Are you sure you could even use them properly?
Hearing Takumi's explanation, Chika looked a little disappointed, but after a moment's thought, she gave up on the idea. He was right.
"I'll ask Ais!"
Asuna, after hearing their conversation, jumped right into the chat group. She and Ais both used rapiersmaybe Ais had something she could use.
Yuuki Asuna:
[@Ais, are you there, Ais?]
Ais:
[?]
Ais was a little confusedwhy was Asuna suddenly @-ing her?
Yuuki Asuna:
[I'd like to ask for your help making a weapon.]
Fujiwara Chika:
[Me too!]
Kato Megumi:
[I want one as well!]
These three were the only ones needing weapons. Chika wanted a magic staff, Megumi wanted a short sword, and Asuna needed a rapier. Nakiri Alice didn't need one for now; the others already had weapons. In the group, it was just these few who didn't.
Saten Ruiko didn't want a staffshe was sticking with her path as an esper and maybe would consider becoming a mage someday. Unlike Chika, who had already decided to switch over to mage.
Ais:
[Sure!]
Ais agreed right away.
Fujiwara Chika:
[I'll trade points with you! Please make me a good staffhere's 500 points!!]
Chika was going all-in. Getting a weapon she was comfortable with was essential!
Kato Megumi:
[Me too.]
Yuuki Asuna:
[Same here, we'll all pay in points.]
They didn't have currency from that world, so they had to use points in the chat.
Ais:
[Alright, Loki says it's fine! She'll ask Lady Hephaestus to craft your weapons.]
Trading points for weapons? Ais just had to check with Loki, and Loki agreed without a second thought. Refuse? Why would she refuse? Ais needed points, too! Now she could power herself up. After her first power-up, Ais's abilities were bound to improve dramatically.
Plus, Takumi had sold a lot of things in the group store already. Loki could just have Ais help buy them. In the chat, points were the best currencysometimes even hard to get.
If three people wanted to trade for points, she was happy to help.
Sagiri:
[Um could you make me a sword too? I want one as well.]
Seeing everyone ask Ais for custom weaponsand gods themselves would be forging them!Sagiri placed her order, too.
Takumi:
[What do you need a weapon for?]
Seeing Sagiri's message, Takumi was puzzled.
Did she want to be a warrior? That didn't seem likely. Why did she suddenly want a sword?
Sagiri:
[To give to Yuuki!]
She wasn't asking for herself, but wanted to gift Yuuki a sword.
Takumi rolled his eyes.
Takumi:
[Yuuki already has a divine artifact! No need to get her anything. Save your points and strengthen yourself instead.]
Seriously, Gabriel had already equipped Yuuki and her sister with Holy Sword-level weapons. Sagiri didn't need to worry about it.
Sagiri:
[Eh? Yuuki has a weapon?]
Now Sagiri was dumbfounded. She hadn't known at all.
Yuuki Asuna:
[She does have a weapon, so no need to get her another.]
Asuna was aware of this, but found it odd Sagiri didn't know.
Sagiri:
[I really didn't know! (Д) I thought Yuuki didn't have a weapon!!]
She'd never heard Yuuki talk about training or weapons while playing together, so she genuinely didn't know.
Takumi:
[You're a terrible neighbor!]
That made Takumi laughwhat a joke, a neighbor not knowing Yuuki's situation?
Sagiri:
[QAQ Stop it!! I'll just get her something else then!!]
If that was the case, she'd gift something else instead. But now, she was at a losswhat could she give the sisters?
Asuna and the others quickly finalized the custom weapon arrangements. Takumi didn't interfere. If they wanted weapons, he could helphe could even make a tidy profit in points. But he didn't need them now, so he let others earn from the group.
Houraisan Kaguya:
[Takumi's special red envelope.]
[I'll give you an old purple hag, and you can have a long chat with her!!]
[Best if she can't get out of bed tonight!!]
Just as Takumi was about to close the chat, Kaguya suddenly sent him a red envelope, along with his space bracelet, and a cryptic message.
Seeing Kaguya's words, Takumi was speechless.
Good grief, really, good grief.
Chapter 203: Ill Send You a Yakumo Yukari
Takumi accepted the red envelope sent by Kaguya-hime. After receiving the spatial bracelet, Takumi immediately released Yakumo Yukari from inside.
When the others saw this, they all turned to look at Takumi. In the next moment, a blonde woman holding a parasol appeared before Takumi and the others. Blonde hair, a zun hat, and white stockings.
"Opening an umbrella in the middle of the night, huh."
Takumi couldn't help but comment, seeing her posing with a parasol and even half her face covered by a fan.
Can you stop acting so dramatic?
Middle of the night and she's putting on a show.
Yakumo Yukari had just been about to say something when she heard Takumi's words and nearly choked. Her mouth twitched a little, and she quickly put away her parasol and fan.
"I thought it was daytime over here," she muttered.
"I didn't expect it to be night too."
She really had thought so. How annoying! Kaguya-hime hadn't even bothered to mention it, making her lose face as soon as she appeared. Truly frustrating.
"Time is synchronized," Takumi replied casually.
"You've come at the perfect time. We're about to eat, so why not join us?"
Speaking as if they were old friends, Takumi invited Yakumo Yukari to dinner.
Yukari paused for a moment, a bit surprised.
"Alright."
She had actually come to discuss moving Gensokyo over, and had expected Takumi, someone so powerful, to be hard to talk to. But unexpectedly, he was quite approachable.
So, Yukari followed Takumi to the dining room, sneaking glances at the people around Takumi.
A group of beautiful girls.
So, Takumi is that kind of guy, huh?
She instantly made up her mind about Takumi: definitely a "specialist."
Well, being a specialist isn't so bad!
Takumi led Yukari and the others to their seats in the dining room, then asked,
"Want a drink?"
Yukari shook her head.
"No, thanks."
She declinedthere was still business to discuss, so she'd better not drink.
"In that case, have some soup instead," Takumi said.
"It's made by robots, but it tastes quite good. All these ingredients come from neighboring worlds. Try it and see."
With that, Takumi indicated for Yukari to help herself, and he and Bronya began eating.
Tasting this food for the first time, Yukari's eyes lit up. It really was delicious.
"Kaguya-hime has already told me," Takumi began,
"You want to bring Gensokyo over, right? I'm totally in favor of it. There's no problem at all with moving everyone from Gensokyo here. You can either rebuild Gensokyo here on your own, or just blend in with usit's up to you."
"But one thing you should know," Takumi added,
"If you blend in, your powers may change."
"To be honest, my world is actually pretty well-suited for you all."
Takumi stuffed another bite of food in his mouth.
Yukari was a bit surprised.
"Our powers will change? There's such a thing?"
As long as Takumi agreed, though, the rest would be easy. She was quite curious about what kind of changes he meant.
"All your internal magic and energy will be converted into Honkai energy!"
"Anyone immigrating here will go through this."
"It's pretty miraculous, honestly," explained Fujiwara Chika.
Takumi nodded.
"It's true! Honkai energy is much more convenient than magic. If you stay here for a couple of months, your energy will all convert to Honkai energy. After all, superpowers here are produced by me," he added, looking at Chika and the others.
The energy inside their bodies was already starting to shift toward Honkai energy.
"Um I've noticed!" Chika piped up.
"But if I go back to our world, could my Honkai energy trigger a Honkai eruption there?"
Chika suddenly looked worried.
"If I go back, will my energy cause some kind of disaster in my original world?"
"No, it won't!" Takumi replied, rolling his eyes.
"I haven't embedded my own will into the Honkai energy. Your worries are unnecessary."
All the world's Honkai energy originated from Takumi, but he never placed his own will into the Honkai energy used by others. It was just a form of energy, nothing more.
He had no intention of triggering a Honkai disaster in any other world.
"Good, that's a relief!" Chika patted her chest in relief.
"I was really worried about causing an eruption if I went back. That would be a total disaster!"
Takumi couldn't be bothered to deal with this overly-anxious girl, and instead turned back to Yukari.
"Honkai energy is an all-purpose energy source," he explained.
"In Gensokyo, many gods rely on faith. That's just absurd. Lose their faith and they're done for."
"If you come to my world, and your internal energy changes, you'll all be free from the shackles of faith."
Many of Gensokyo's gods were gods of faith, and with their living environment deteriorating, most were barely surviving. In a few hundred years, they might truly disappear.
But if they changed their power to Honkai energy, that threat would be resolved.
Hearing this, Yukari's eyes sparkled.
If that was the case, she was even more determined to move here.
"If it's like that, that's wonderful!"
She had one more reason to come to Takumi's world.
Right now, she even wanted to go back and move all of Gensokyo over immediately.
It was just an internal energy changewhat was the big deal?
So what if yokai energy became Honkai energy?
It didn't matter at all.
As long as they could survive, it was enough.
And coming to Takumi's world had so many benefitshow could she refuse?
"Let's talk about how to move Gensokyo over!"
Yukari was practically bursting with excitement.
Takumi rolled his eyes at her enthusiasm.
"Just use the spatial bracelet you arrived with.
Have Kaguya-hime pack everyone inside. Or, you can use your own power to package all of Gensokyo and send it over."
